If any charlatan, driven by the frenzy of the contemporary art market contemplates the price of Mother Ethiopia , he should know the reaction of the public and the very wish of the Maitre: Mother Ethiopia is priceless, for it has been elevated to a national icon, and a sacred image.
I know in the church, Melka Seil – Hymn of Icons, teaches that we should say grace, give honor, bow, kneel down and beseech mercy through the consecrated icons of the Lord, Our Lady, Angels, Saints and Martyrs. Simon landed in Bombay, he was treated with black flags and shouts of “Simon, go back”, and there was a countrywide strike. The “Lion of Punjab”, was struck with lathi blows of the police, and he died soon afterwards. I pray to God, this not happen again.

I and all of us think that that type of tragedy never be seen by us in future. Dreams and thoughts come suddenly, we want or don’t want. The story of colored ‘Siyar’ stands up before me. What can I do?

Suddenly a ‘siyar’ had become colored. The above cited incident, the death of ‘Lion of Punjab' ignited the patriotic fervors in Bhagat Singh and he vowed to take revenge of the gruesome incident. He was assisted by Azad, Rajguru and Sukhadev in this task. I did not see the film ‘Mera Rang de basanti’. One poster which I saw in the wall of my school in my student life comes in my memory: “I want to see Pistols instead of cigarettes in the hands of students’- Netaji Bose. I think that we are living in our own peace loving country under the Govt. which is elected by us democratically.

The plan of Bhagat Singh and other martyrs failed and they killed Mr. Sanders instead of Mr. Scott. When I read ‘Scott’ then “Stott” name and his acts and his nexus came before me. What can I do? Our leaders are looting us. They think that they are elephants and people are dogs only to bark. These are not big news for media.

On April 8, 1974, at the age of 72, he led a silent procession at Patna. The procession was lathi charged. On June 5, 1974, Jayaprakash addressed a mammoth crowd at Gandhi Maidan in Patna. He declared, "This is a revolution, friends! …. But we have a long way to go... After 27 years of freedom, people of this country are wracked by hunger, rising prices, corruption... oppressed by every kind of injustice... it is a Total Revolution we want, nothing less!"

That was 1974. To day we are taking breadth in 2006. It means 27 + 32 = 59 years wasted most of the years by Congress rulers of the untouchable dynasty to remain us forever backward. Why we feel pride to be labeled backward? Why we are rewarding those seculars who are dividing us on the basis of castes and religions? Did we bury these evils in August 15, 1947? Who reborn them again and again according to their convenience?

Pope Oppose Conversion Laws

Pope Says: conversion laws in India are "unconstitutional".Supreme Court gave rights to every state to legislate laws to stop conversion through force/allurement. Laws enacted by separate states are based on Supreme Court(SC) ruling in 1979. How could it be unconstitutional? That's the reason missionary groups do NOT knock at the door of the Supreme Court, rather build up one-sided media stories like this.

It has done so, because it made a judgement, POVERTY is a disabling factor in protecting one's religious rights. Also, rights to propagate one’s religion in our constitution have its limitations. Who Killed Netaji?

Congress killed Netaji files. Why Nehru betrayed Netaji. Gold-Diamond loaded Trunks took Air journey. Where was wealth of Azad Hind Bank? What said JanmBhoomi editor? What said Nehru to UK PM?

Who were involved in the conspiracy to murder Subhash Chandra Bose, Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukerjee and Lal Bahadur Shstri? It is not possible to find out answers of all these in this limited worded article.

Researcher Professor Purabi Roy and her fellows, who have estimated the worth of INA funds and who are prominent deponent before the Mukherjee commission, have some light to throw on the issue. But Report of Mukherjee commission is totally rejected by Congress led Govt. without giving any reason. Congress ally CPM also suspects congress move and wants the discussion in the parliament on the Report.


Threatening to Researchers

Did Netaji really die in the 1945 plane crash? Incredibly hard facts have now emerged from Moscow vaults. Netaji was in fact very much alive till at least 1946 one full year after his supposed "death". Russian archives had yielded two precious documents. The first concerned a discussion that Joseph Stalin had with his defense minister Voroschilov and foreign affairs minister Molotov in 1946. The second was a report filed by a Soviet field agent stationed in India, also in 1946.

One more British archive document also states that the entire theory of the plane crash, in Taihuku (Japan), was pre-planned and contrived. In fact as late as December 20, 1945, a Japanese newspaper even reported that Bose was on his way to the Soviet Union and passed through Tokyo.


Find the killer of Netaji

British Prime Minister Clements Attlee decided ‘Let him remain where he (Subhash C. Bose) is now’. This decision was taken in October 1945. It clearly indicates that he was alive even in Oct 1945.
Netaji was reported to be alive even after 1945 by the British intelligence from Teheran and Kabul quoting the Russian embassy officials. This was even stated in the Shah Nawaz commission report (File No. 10/ Mis/ INA-pp 38, 39).

In 1946, Gallacher, a British communist party worker publicly criticised the then Irish President D’ Valera for welcoming Netaji in Doublin! D’ Valera didn’t deny this. He visited India after 1946 and even commented publicly ‘I expected to meet Bose here’!

The British intelligence has reported that Nehru knew where Netaji was. Nehru took the Foreign Affairs portfolio himself and appointed none other than Vijayalekshmi Pandit as the ambassador to Russia!

After her term was over, Dr S.Radhakrishnan became the representative to Russia. Dr Saroj Das of Calcutta University told his friend Dr R.C.Muzumdar that Radhakrishnan had told him that Netaji was in Russia.

Former Indian ambassador Dr Satyanarayana Sinha once met Goga, the son of Abani Mukherjee, a revolutionist in the Russian communist party; who told him that his father and Netaji were prisoners in adjacent cells in Siberia. He also told Sinha that Netaji had assumed the name ‘Khilsai Malang’ there.

The most shocking of all information it contained was that Netaji had posted a letter from Russia to Nehru, telling that he wished to come back and he also asked Nehru to make amendments for his come back!

You may confirm this from the parliamentary records from 3rd August 1977; and the files published by the British government.

As reported in every newspaper at that time, daughter of Stalin Swetlana said in Delhi that Netaji was in Siberia’s yarkutaskjail. She also gave barrack No. also.

Speaking to the Hindu, Prof. Guha lent evidence to the view that Subhash Chandra Bose died in a Soviet Prison. He noted that Joseph Stalin was crueler than Adolf Hitler’.

A Soviet agent named V G Sayadyants who was based in Mumbai reported home that "Bose is the only hope for Soviet Russia,"

The new findings are based on declassified documents in the Russian military archives in Paddolsk, and from the British archives. They were discovered by three researchers-Purabi Ray, Hari Vasudevan and Shobanlal Dutta Gupta-working on the history of communist movement in India. The plot has thickened even deeper with the admission by these researchers that they have been receiving threatening calls from unidentified persons asking them to suspend all further inquiries and end the government-funded research. Deposing before the Khosla Commission, Dr Satyanarayan Sinha said Colonel Habibur Rehman had confessed to him at Patna in 1946 that he had had told a lie when he said that Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose died in a plane crash in Taipeh on August 18, 1945


Killing of Netaji files by Congress Governments

Most of the secret files about Netaji, that were maintained by Pandit Nehru himself as "P.M.'s special" files, one of which included all communications connected with INA Defense Committee, were reported by the Indira Gandhi Government as "either missing or destroyed". It will not be easy to presume that Netaji's communication to Nehru and a copy of Nehru's letter to Attlee have also been destroyed. These files were dealt with by the personal secretary of Pt Nehru - Mohmd Yunus.


Nehru's shocking role in betraying Netaji

Shyamlal jain, the confidential steno of the INA Defense Committee, in the course of his deposition, made a shocking revelation about Nehru's attitude toward Netaji,”Later Nehru asked me to type a letter on his letterhead. Mr.Nehru addressed that letter to Mr.Clamment Attlee the then PM of Britain, in which Mr.Attlee was informed about the contents of that hand written note regarding Mr.Subhash entry into Russian territory.
"I solemnly affirm and state on oath that thereafter Shri Jawaharlal Nehru gave me four papers from his writing pad to make four copies of a letter, which he would dictate to me on typewriter, which I also complied. The contents of the letter, as far as I could remember, were as follows

Dear Mr. Attlee:
I understand from a reliable source that Subhas Chandra Bose, your war criminal, has been allowed to enter Russian territory by Stalin. This is a clear treachery and betrayal of faith by the Russians. As Russia has been an ally of the British-Americans, it should not have been done. Please take note of it and do what you consider proper and fit.

Col. Tada, one of the principal architects of Netaji's escape plan confided to S.A. Iyer in 1951 that the Japanese agreed to make necessary arrangements to convey Netaji to Russian territory across the border of Manchuria.


Late Amritlal Seth, editor ‘Janmabhumi’

Late Amritlal Seth, former editor of the Gujarati Daily Janmabhumi, who accompanied Nehru during his visit to Singapore told late Sarat Chandra Bose immediately after his return from Singapore that Panditji was warned by the British Admiral that, according to his report, 'Bose' did not die in the alleged air crash and if Nehru played up too high with the legends of Bose and demands for re-absorption of the INA (Azad Hind Fauz) in the Indian Army, he would be taking the risk of presenting India on a platter to Bose when he reappeared.


Journey of Gold-Diamond loaded Trunks:

What happened after August 18 remains shrouded in mystery. While conducting her research in Moscow and England Professor Purabi Roy pursued a war time major of MI5 who had snooped around Bose. Roy met the agent in Oxford and he told her that a huge amount of 'INA money' was handed over to Lord Mountbatten and a senior Congress leader in Singapore, and that is the key to Bose's disappearance (and the subsequent reluctance to unravel the mystery) could be solved to a great extent by ascertaining the route that the funds travelled." Azad Hind Bank

Captain Wadhera sought to know the whereabouts of the huge wealth that was collected by Netaji for the freedom struggle and deposited in the Azad Hind Bank, which was specially opened to prevent misuse of cash and ornaments donated by Indians to strengthen the hands of the INA in its freedom struggle.

Recalling the events from his INA days, Captain Wadhera disclosed that a big rally was organized by the Indian Independence League at Singapore to welcome Netaji. “As the huge gathering of Indians in Singapore garlanded Netaji, nearly a truckload of garlands accumulated there”, he said.

After thanking the gathering, Netaji announced that he would like to auction the garlands that had been put around his neck.

“The bid started with Rs 1 lakh (in 1943 it was more than rupees fifty lakh of today). The first garland was auctioned for Rs 1 crore and 3 lakh, which was purchased by a Muslim industrialist of Malaya, Habibur Rehman. Later he volunteered his services to join the movement. The women offered their valuables and gold ornaments. Total collections at this auction were about Rs 25 crore”, Captain Wadhera nostalgically recalls”.


Mukherjee Commission submitted its report on November 8, 2005. The government sat on it for six months, then tabled it in Parliament on May 17, 2006, when it also rejected the report. Why such late in tabling the report?
Basically, the commission’s findings are the following:
(1). Netaji did not die in the August 1945 Taipei plane crash as reported.
(2) The ashes at Tokyo’s Renkoji temple are not his.

They are habitual to write these types of articles concentrating anti-Gujarat rhetoric, a sloppy mixture of Hitler-Mussolini-style propaganda and Al Jazeera- style exaggerations. The titles are meant to refer to the Gujarat, a democracy which betrays itself when it kills and tortures minority (the articles indirectly and also directly implied that this is done daily by Gujarat Police). Mostly readers live in a virtual world, invented by this imaginative writers-pair husband and wife in the name of Human activists and NGOs, a world that has little or nothing to do with the real world.

Teesta Setalvad obtained ‘Sadbhavna’ reward from Sonia Gandhi. Teesta called Gujarat DGP Pandey a Godse.


Hostility of witnesses

Jaheera shekh was hostile due to Teesta Setalvad. As reported Jaheera Shekh was kidnapped and introduced first by Teesta Setalvad to defame Gujarat BJP Govt., Police and Judiciary. But after that she became against Teesta. Then all pseudo-seculars circled single woman Jaheera.

Not a single newspaper, electronic media and even BJP highlighted the issue of becoming hostile of every witness in the murder case of Ramawatar Jaggi. It is being investigated by CBI. Son of former CM of Chhattisgarh Ajit Jogi was prisoner but now grated bail. I have no objection on the release of young boy. In his old age V.C. Shukla is waiting to get entry in Congress. Jaggi was a right hand of Shukla. Jaggi was murdered due to rivalry of Shukla and Jogi.


Divide and Rule

For the security of our nation we should not divide our police force and our army in secular and non-secular. Even people also not be divided in this line. To fight BJP and RSS this should not be the way. Govt. should research other ways to fight NDA as it researched ‘renounces’ ‘double profit’ etc. But it is unfortunate that State Home Minister Jaiswal researched in Gujarat 'newly constructed and long time constructed' religious places.


Search of murders & ladens

Teesta Setalvad writes article titled “Murder Of Sufi Soul”. Though there is no such murder. America says Osama Bin laden is in pakistan. But to cover this report her husband Javed Anand gives title for his article “There’s a Taliban in Gujarat”. He wants to compare Modi with Taliban. Another one human activist told at the time of Godhra riots disussion in Rajdeep Serdesai’s ‘Big fight’ that attack on Modi was not a terrorist attack, it could be called attack for revenge. But attack on Musharraff was terrorist attack. This is their secularism and patriotism.


Articles on ‘Gujarat’ be sellable

These types of loophole are now in pseudo-secular India, an entire category of these has been created whose main business is to spread false information, and then interpret it, analyze it, review it, etc. Needless to say, false news article on the basis of false facts would not sell if it were about, say, the brutal murder of Kasmiri Pandits. It sells if it is about the Gujarat, the most famous and controversial topic of the period. Thus the vast majority of such "false-news analysis" targets the Gujarat. But the phenomenon extends way beyond anti-Gujarat propaganda.


Freedom of lying

This is a culture of lying and freedom of lying. A lie repeated many times, over and over again (like a mantra), becomes a fact. And soon a virtual reality is created out of these "facts".

Sure, it's easy to prove the falsity of all of these statements, but most readers are not interested in hearing the other version of the facts. They, too, are exercising a democratic right: the right to read (listen to) only what they want to read (listen to). Democracy indirectly protects people who lie and people who want to hear only the lies. The combination of writers who specialize in lying (who invoke the right to lie) and readers who are not interested in the truth (who invoke the right to only listen to the lies) creates a market for false news, an eventually an entire culture of lying.

That was not the reason that democracy was invented.
The Indian democracy does not betray itself. But it is being betrayed by these mongers & pseudo-secularists.

Today Gujarat CM Narendra Modi from Tel Aviv said to India TV about Narmada Bachao Movement that it is not registered organization. It is making hurdles in the rehabilitation work. Central Govt. should enquire from where these organizations are getting fund.
There should also be enquiry from where sabrang is getting fund.

Cold War Forces Attacking India

USA is in frustration. Unite to be a developed country. Conquer USA economically & spiritually. Cold War forces divided USSR, spreaded Christianity and powered Islamic Talibans. Beware from evil forces.

In this article I want to analyze just published two statements of George Bush: .

The US Commission on International Religious Freedom (USCIRF) letter to Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice that despite improvements after the defeat of the BJP in the 2004 general election, “concerns about religious freedom in India remain, particularly indications that attacks on Christian churches and individuals persist.BJP-led Rajasthan in particular has been the recent scene of serious attacks on Christian individuals and institutions carried out by members of extremist groups espousing Hindu nationalism”.

International conspiracy against Indian Nationalists

Just after the above statements, an article of Javed Anand published in Hindustan times titled ‘Osama Bin Laden is in Gujarat’ and before above mentioned statements on the advice of State home Minister Jaiswal, UPA Government brought the stay order from Supreme Court to stay the demolition process for widening the roads in Gujarat. Govt. also tried same trick in the Narmada dam controvercy. Our Govt. doesn’t want dam and roads. Laloo had said in Bihar no raods so no cars.

Above both steps create doubt that there is an International conspiracy against interest of India. There is a shake hand between Bush Govt. and Sonia’s Govt. Fundamentalist journalist Javed Anand, Tahalka with Ardh Saty of MP Govt and Teesta Sitalwad again has come in the forefront. I will try to write an article about this separately.

USA in frustration

These statements indicate frustration among American youths as well as frustration in Bush Govt. which knowingly or unknowingly jumped in the dangerous cannel if not in the death cannel by Iraq war and now stepping towards Iran. USA is acting as USSR acted.

In this context I recall an American newspapers analysis:
Two landslides and eight presidential years later, Reagan bequeaths an economic revival and victory in the Cold War to an admiring America. “All in all, not bad, not bad at all,” as he declaimed in his farewell address….
As for the Soviet Union, Reagan was a “container” in the vigorous way of the early Cold War. He believed that the communists justified their tyranny through conflict and expansion but this “evil empire,” to use Reagan’s famous later phrase, operated on such absurd economic and social principles that if its aggressive march could be arrested by superior Western strength, then its collapse could be foretold. This had to be done while avoiding the disaster of a nuclear war. He summarized his views in his autobiography: “You had to wonder how long the Soviets could keep their empire intact. If they didn’t make some changes, it seemed clear to me that in time communism would collapse of its own weight, and I wondered how we as a nation could use these cracks in the Soviet system to accelerate the process of collapse.”

If we want to be a developed country…

If the India wants to remain a powerful country stepping in the direction of being a developed country before 2020, and not only a tourist attraction for terrorists, separatists, naxalites and Christian missionaries then it needs to "conquer" the USA economically and spiritually.

We have leant spirituality from Hinduism and Islamic Sufis. For example mighty multinational companies felt fear because of a single Guru of Yoga Baba Ramdas. We are a leading force in Information Technology, space technology as directed by our great Scientist APJ Kalam. We have to stop exporting of our brains. For getting votes govt. should not divide the students’ community.


Why down fall of USSR?

Let us not forget that the Soviet Union was brought down by the combined action of two religions plus USA: the Pope started the rebellion in the Soviet colonies of Eastern Europe while the Afghan Mujaheddin crippled Soviet rule in Central Asia.

Was the Cold War a war between the USA and the Soviet Union, or was it a war between USSR atheism and two religions? Or was it a war between atheism and coalition of Catholicism and Islam plus USA. Who won it, the USA alone or a coalition of Catholicism and Islam plus USA?

If we recast the victory in Cold War as a victory of the coalition, then USA plus Catholicism and Islam in the leadership of Taliban and other fundamentalists have become the natural target of each other. This is the reason America is searching Talibans day and night.


India Facing Cold War Forces

Now above experiment is being repeated in India by the same forces of Cold War.

In India nationalism is being targeted by the combined forces of Catholicism and Islamic fundamentalists under the umbrella of UPA ‘Divide and rule’ policy of Congress to develop Vote Bank through appeasement of minority, encouragement to terrorists, naxalistes, separatists and infiltrators plus USA sponsorship forces in the name of freedom of Religion, Humanity, Save Narmada Movement.


USA victory in Cold War widened Christianity

It was the USA's victory in the Cold War that made it possible for the Church to resurrect in so many countries, previously ruled by atheist regimes.
Bush and Clinton bowed their Knees in Rome at the time of funeral of Late Pope. Is this secularism and freedom of religion as stated by American administration? George Bush said of him: “When you are in his presence you say to yourself: ‘Here is a great man, a great leader.’ He is a man of liberty, of faith, who suffers every time the Church, or man, is oppressed. He will occupy, with all authority, a privileged position in the history of our time. I am not Catholic, but towards him I feel a deeply profound respect and a sincere affection” (as quoted in Mirás, n.d.).
The popularity of both the Catholic Church and hard lined Islam is largely due to the fact that the USA won the Cold War. Struggle between Taliban and Bush Govt. is the result of the down fall of USSR.


We should unite as we united against British Imperialism

We have to be united as we are united in the pre-independence period to defeat the imperialism of British. That time we were Indians above Muslim or Hindu or others. That time of Congress was not the property of Gandhis or Nehrus only. All were fighting for independence in their ways. Shubhas, Bhagat Singh, Mahatma Gandhi and others struggled in their ways. But goal of all was one. We have to bury forces of vote bank and adopters of ‘divide and rule’ policy. There should be appeasement to none and equality to all. All should be equal before the law of land and the Government. We have to stop black mailing of the voters in the name of reservation or other ways of division.

Immortal Naushad’s Music

Naushad told that he was sleeping on the footpath opposite theatre 16 long years when he had dreamt of seeing his music brought to life in Mumbai. composition was for Taj Mahal – External love story

Naushad Ali earthly died but his music is immortal. He was born on Christian day, 25th December 1919 in Lucknow. The 86-year old legend, died at Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai where he was admitted on April 20 after complaining of uneasiness. May his soul rest in peace.


Footpath to Taj Mahal

Naushad. M. Ali chose the tougher route; at that tender age he ran away from home, suffered hunger and humiliation, approached innumerable teachers and film makers… the rest, as they say, is history. He came to Mumbai in 1937. When the late producer Vijay Bhatt asked him why he was crying, Naushad told him he was sleeping on the footpath opposite the theatre when he had dreamt of seeing his music brought to life here. 'It took me 16 long years to cross that footpath,' he had said.

Songs for his music in 1950s have been mostly penned down by Shakeel Badayuni. In 1940s, he composed music for songs written by D N Madhok, Zia Sarhadi, Majrooh Sultanpuri and Khumar Barabankvi, besides Badayuni. He had long association with Mehboob Khan, A R Kardar and Sunny bannersHis last music composition was for the movie Taj Mahal—An Eternal Love Story, by Akhbar Khan in 2005.

The 86-year old's last composition was for the recently-released Taj Mahal - An Eternal Love Story, directed by Akbar Khan. He was awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award in 1982, the L. M. Award the M. P. Government in 1984, Amir Khusro award in 1987, Maharashtra Gaurav Puruskar and the Padma Bhushan.

He had hold the post of President of Cine Music Directors Association, Chairman of Indian Performing Rights Society, the title of Special Executive Magistrate, Bombay, President of Maharashtra State Angling Association, President of Alam-E-Urdu Conference (Delhi).
Angling Lover:

Naushad Ali has said,” "It is in the beautiful setting of Powai Lake with its Trees, Birds and Butterflies that I have often got my inspiration for some of my best works. I hope that Powai will always remain. It is one of the last few beautiful spots left in Bombay and I am proud to be the President of MSAA which is working hard to preserve its waters and aquatic life.”


Music therapy:

Did you know that when Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee was recuperating at the Breach Candy hospital following his knee surgery, he took some time off to meet Naushad Ali. Singer Hariharan can still see smile of Great Naushad, “We played the tape of his (Atal Behari Vajpayee’s) popular poem ‘Unki Yaad Karen’ and he expressed satisfaction and lauded the effort,” ‘Unki Yaad Karen’ pays tributes to India’s freedom fighters and revolutionaries including Veer Savarkar. “Mr Vajpayee’s poems are not romantic but focused on patriotism. I am sure his poems do not merely lie within the pages of a book, but reach the general public. Vajpayee is perhaps the only Indian prime minister who is a poet at heart,” Naushad Ali said. He added,” "He has used nearly 70-75 musicians and 30 choirs to set the piece to music. The album focuses on poems that touch upon the subjects of patriotism, students, farmers and general workers."Our six basic raags are Deepak, Megh, Hindol, Shri, Bhairav and Malkauns. These, our six citadels, were assailed at various times, in the last 50 years, by the foxtrot, the waltz, the cha-cha-cha, the rumba-samba, the rock-n'-roll and disco. Please note that such westernised song-modes have come and gone but Deepak, Megh, Hindol, Shri, Bhairav and Malkauns still survive. They have survived through my 70 years and they will still be there when I am gone. All tradition, all modernity in our music is within the ambit of these six basic raags." He said in Dec.1988.


India world

NRI Suketu Mehta in his article published in New York Times wrote, “In a Hindi movie, emotion is communicated through song, because song is more potent than dialogue. We Indians carry these songs around with us. They form our vocabulary of love and grief, from country to country. My aunt's family immigrated to Uganda from India a century ago; she now lives in England and has never been to India, but she listens mostly to Hindi movie songs. When I visited her house in Leicester once, I noticed that none of the children under 5 in her extended family spoke English. They spoke Gujarati and film Hindi; in their house, the TV was on almost all the time, with Hindi movies playing back to back on the VCR. The children, two or three generations removed from India, were living in this simulated India world…when I came to America in 1977. And I found that the Bollywood movies were, in the Indian context, progressive. They eliminated barriers between Hindus and Muslims and Christians (''Amar Akbar Anthony''); rich boys fell in love with poor girls (''Bobby''); untouchables were brought into patriotic service (''Lagaan,'' perhaps the first real crossover hit in the West).”

When Suketu Meht was in Bombay then his experience was,”I had come to understand Muslims as lovable, Christian girls as flirtatious, Sikhs as loyally martial, Parsis as endearingly cracked. The movies trafficked in broad stereotypes, but they were, for the most part, good-natured stereotypes. “
