Oil Dacoit AWB Imports Wheat for us

On Nov 15, 05 Sonia Gandhi vowed to punish (OFF) Oil for Food guilty. Question arises if Super PM herself is guilty then who can dare to punish?
Can PM dare to punish Super PM? Can SC’s order do? Could Congress follow every order of SC? Not at all, but people have power to do this job. Now High Command is on Natwar’s side. Congress follows Australian Govt.

Will Flour be used as snuff?

Now wheat rate wants to touch Everest. I recall a conversation when I was a Taxation Acviser. STO Mr.Sahni said that time would come when flour will be used as snuff. After touching flour to nose we wiill feel fully satisfaction. Are we stepping towards that direction?

India has become such a country in the world where a politician is in charge of cricket and a buffoon in charge of the Railway Ministry. Laloo ate Cows’ fodder and Agricultural minister earned his name in Wheat PDS scam and unforgivable decision of importing wheat.

AWB Ltd.

Please don’t think that AWB of this article is the same AWB Animal Welfare Board which cleared 'Rang de Basanti' of Amir Khan: www.sulekha.com/blogs/blogdisplay.aspx?cid=47551

This article will focus on Australia's monopoly wheat exporter AWB Ltd. having office at Delhi also which has obtained the wheat import order from UPA Govt.

SAD president Parkash Singh Badal on April 14 said that the decision had caused all round disbelief and consternation, as this company had been found guilty of bribes in the Food for Oil Scam.

Mr. Natwar Singh his son Jagat Singh and relatives Andaleeb Sehgal, Aditya Khanna, his brother and Congress legislator from Sunam, Arvind Khanna and several other kin of Captain Amarinder Singh were already in the thick of the Food for Oil scam. Enforcement Directorate is still probing the whole issue, including the role of the AWB Ltd but the center had chosen the same company for a huge import order. My other related article’s title was “After Natwar Singh who should resign?” http://o3.indiatimes.com/premendra

Congress President follows Australian PM

Congress president has liberty to follow Australian PM Mr. Howard. Madam maintained she was unaware of the allegations against Natwar Singh until UN investigators brought the matter to her government's attention in the ending month of 2005. I'd never been presented with any hard evidence. I had always believed the best of that company, as had most people in the government. Suppose if Former Foreign Minister will be guilty then she can say,” “It had not crossed my mind that it would have behaved corruptly.”

Why Natwar loves CPM

Natwar Singh said today the Paul Volcker report that named him one of the beneficiaries of Iraq’s oil-for-food program was no more credible than the one that led America to attack Baghdad in its search for weapons of mass destruction. The minister’s comments are being seen as part of an attempt to strengthen his “anti-US” constituency, especially among the Left, in the country. Yesterday he has praised CPM Leader Sitaram Yechury . Mr. Singh even said that Yechury is the architect of India’s foreign policy for Nepal now.

Now High Command on Natwar’s side

The Congress, which had left the minister to fend for him and concentrated on defending itself when the controversy broke today sought to close the chapter by replaying Prime Minister Manmohan Singh’s statement yesterday that the report had “insufficient” evidence.

On Saturday, the Congress had conspicuously avoided defending Natwar Singh, though his party position as the head of the AICC foreign affairs cell makes him a key adviser to Sonia Gandhi. The party changed its stand after Natwar Singh met the Prime Minister as well as Sonia.

The foreign ministry establishment, which dragged its feet on defending the minister, tried to control the damage by putting the statements of Natwar Singh — two days after he issued it — and the Prime Minister on its website.
It is reality that Natwar Singh opened his slicked mouth then only ‘Save Sonia’ efforts took serious move now by all including both Sighs PM and former FM. Now Former FM has full confidence that he would not be scape goat in the scandal.

Congress & Australian Govt. are on same track

As Australian PM Mr. Howard argued before Australian Media, Natwar Singh also sought to rope in his party — the Congress has been named a beneficiary — by saying that “this is obviously part of the continuing campaign to malign the Congress party and its senior leaders and functionaries”. As he said to India TV channel that he has full confidence that his future book will be clean. He did not say that its black word will be painted white!

The Congress saw no reason for an inquiry into the allegations as demanded by the Left parties. “Inquiry against whom and for what? We don’t think there is any room for that. The report is full of gaping holes and glaring errors,” party spokesman Anand Sharma said.

Teeth of elephant to eat and to show are different. The same story is the Commissions appointed by Australian, African, and Indian Government ordering an independent probe to establish whether a domestic wheat company broke any law by making payments to Iraq under the oil-for-food program. According to the Volcker report, AWB Ltd was the largest single supplier of humanitarian goods under the program. .

Mr. Howard -- a staunch supporter of U.S. President George W. Bush and an ally in the war in Iraq -- has for years enjoyed strong support from voters due mainly to the strength of the Australian economy.

“My Australian Government had nothing to hide. It's very simple. When you have a prime minister and two senior ministers fronting a commission on oath and answering questions you can hardly be said to run a government that is hiding something, covering up something,” Mr. Howard told reporters.
India’s ‘Trimurti’ Sonia Gandhi, Manmohan and Natwar Singh willalso repeat the same words. Media can try.

Oil Robbery of Congress with both hands

Congress traditionally runs two foreign policies: one for the nation and another for the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty. We refused to recognise Mao's China, but Mao was one of the wheat farmers' most valued customers.

Saddam was a familiar kind of client and the Australian Wheat Board, an arm of government that in 1999 became AWB Limited, became the single biggest seller of wheat to Iraq in the last years of his regime. This wrecked dictatorship was AWB's most profitable market. "It was huge," recalled an AWB executive. "It was profits and money all round."

Then how could Singhs & Co.and Congress be behind?

Remind Australian Glady Staines

For God sake, please remind:
Gladys Staines, widow of the slain Australian missionary Grahm Staines who had left India forever come back Orissa from her motherland Australia, and got ‘Padmashree’ to convert tribal Hindus of Orissa.

Why Quota Raj

Why Ram Krishna Mission turned itself as Non-Hindu? Why Jain wants to be minority? Why there is a competition to be backward instead of forward? Why empty work Minister Antule is in the search of provinces where Hindus are in minority? Is this sign of democracy, secularism and progress?

The original architect of Mandal politics, VP Singh, declared on Tuesday his intention to fight for caste-based reservations in the Parliament as well as the judiciary.

Shrewd Arjun Singh (V.P.Singh II) should learn from the beautiful wordings of C S Levis: 'Beauty is not democratic; she reveals herself more to the few than to the many, more to the persistent and disciplined seekers than to the careless. Virtue is not democratic; she is achieved by those who pursue her more hotly than most men. Truth is not democratic; she demands special talents and special industry in those to whom she gives her favors'.
Govinda tried to act ‘karodpati’ to be Big ’B’ but could not be succeeded. Every one has right to participate to be ‘world Queen’ or ‘India Queen’. .But to be ‘Aishwarya Rai’ or ‘Mukhi’ can not be on quota basis. Every player has right to play cricket but Tendulkar or Dhuni can’t be made on quota basis. We can’t adopt Arjun-V.P.Singh’s Manalization in world cup tournaments, Bollywood and IITs – IIMs We should not show coward ness and backwardness? We should face competition to give every one equal opportunity to develop.

104th amendment disunites us

The new policy, if implemented, would take the overall reservation in the Central government-funded higher education institutions from the current 22.5 (for SC and ST students) to 49.5 per cent. The Centre has already directed State governments to increase reservation for backward categories in the State-level institutions. Arjun Singh has also written to the States to frame laws in the light of the 104th Amendment, passed in the winter session of Parliament

To follow this amendment means dishonor the Soul of the Constitution, tear the unity of India and outsource the Indian talents towards USA and European countries. Dr. Chitranjan Ranawat who moved from India to the United States in the Year 1963 completed successfully surgery of Vajpyee’s knee. Tamil Nadu born London based world famous Dr. Rela came Hinduja Hospital for the treatment of Pramod Mahajan.

Is this way to respect the Constitution?

Elected leaders took oath: I, A.B., do swear in the name of God/solemnly affirm, that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the Constitution of India as by law established and that I will faithfully discharge the duty upon which I am about to enter. Up till now 104 amendments mostly by Congress needed or not needed have been made in the constitution.

What does your inner voice say?

NDA Govt. rightly or wrongly constituted a committee to review the Constitution. There was uproar inside and outside parliament. I have no command in English. Indian Tony Blairs should differentiate amendment and review.

Arjun Sinh said Govt. will follow SC. He forgot Supreme Court Decisions of Shah Bano Case, Common Civil Code, Hindutva and so on. In the name of inner voice Soniaji renounces again and again. For just a moment don’t think about ‘vote Bank’. Let people know the inner voices of all parties and their leaders. Please go ahead accordingly.

V.P.Singh II

That was Arjun singh whose son tried to join BJP just before general elections. That was Arjun singh who left congress during p v narsimharao tenure. That is Arjun singh who is creating most panic at present but no congressmen come to support his statements.

Arjun Singh (V.P.Singh II) has opened the reservation basket to spread poison in the unity of India. V.P. - Arjun & Co is engaged in Vote Bank business to adopt divide and rule policy through Mandalization of Education aiming to spread this evil in every field of our nation. They encourage fundamentalist to take religious shape. Counting the heads of army and suggestion placed by Manmohan Singh to the Industrialists indicate this.

These great names do research on reservation. They earned their political height by selling this sugar coated poison. Raja of Mandu spoke against the 'Licence-Permit-Control-Quota Raj' in the 1950s and 1960s. But he has great love in Caste basis Quota. I heard about Snake catcher Irula tribals of Tamil Nadu.

It is absolutely mandatory for India's unity and progress that the Hindu society rids itself of the caste system. Students have to work collectively for a better future for all of them. Only then can they defeat the divide and rule policy of these Singhs.

Why brutality on Medico Students?

Delhi medico’s students faced brutality of the police all day for an opportunity to meet and tell HRD minister Arjun Singh. V.P.- Arjun are VIPs. Why they bother Indian doctors. Their treatment will be abroad on taxpayers' money. Over Rs six crore was spent on the treatment of former Prime Minister and A former Raja of Mandu V P Singh abroad. Notwithstanding his having renounced political life, Singh quite relishes his role of political guru of Raj Babbar. He came in the support of Sonia Gandhi though he was to drum up Boffors scandal. He supports Medha Patkar and Arjun Singh. Jain Commission marked 'Y'. Report No. 31, discloses that Shri Karunanidhi had discussed with the Prime Minister Shri V.P. Singh about LTTE's requirements.

Marx has said that everything is subject to change and the only thing that doesn't change is change itself. It has been reported that the CPI (M) owns property worth Rs30,000 million in the tiny state of Kerala alone. Leaders can now afford to fly executive class and can have the best medical care in the West.

RAJIV GOSWAMI ENGULFED in flames after he set himself alight during a demonstration on September 19, 1990, after Prime Minister V.P. Singh announced the implementation of the Mandal report. He died on February 24, 2004, of causes related to the injuries sustained then. This should not be repeated in any case. Now V.P. Singh II should not be allowed to execute the same drama of V.P.Singh I, now. I welcome the bold step taken by Kapil Sibbal.

Will Natwar attack Congress on Volker after Nepal?

In the democracy every citizen is the king or badshah. But they should not be Mir and Mirza: “The chess continues even as the British troops march into the city until they have a fight over the game. Mir, who has nearly shot Mirza and is ashamed of his behavior, says, ‘We cannot even cope with our wives, so how can we cope with the company's army?’”

The situation of the seven political parties of Nepal is like that. Maoist hijacked the democracy movement there. Actually these parties have become the Hostage of Maoist.

Natwar now against UPA

* Meanwhile, on April 24, 2006, Defence Minister Pranab Mukherjee chaired a meeting called to discuss the situation in Nepal. It was attended by Home Minister Shivraj Patil, MEA officials and the army chief. Following the meeting, it was decided that:
India is worried that the Maoists will take over if the King abdicates.
No military aid to Nepal at the moment
Large number of Indian Gorkha troops come from Nepal
Troops are worried about their families' fate
India can consider air dropping supplies to Kathmandu valley if supply lines remain disrupted

The question arises then why the govt. came in the blackmail of CPM which always openly supports armed rebelians Maoist.

Now Natwar Singh opposing the UPA policy on Nepal when he bcame the scape goat in Oil for Food Scandal. Natwar Singh had accused the government of "masterly inactivity" and said "We have let the people of Nepal down, lost the goodwill of the seven parties, earned the annoyance of the Maoists and received no kudos from King Gyanendra."
He has to say more about the Sonia Gandhi, Congress, CPM and other allies.
He should come with the truth behind Congress involvement in Food for Foodscandal.

Maoist wants to grow beyond Nepal

In an interview puplished in rediffmail, Ajit Doval, former chief of Intelligence Bureau asks: 'Why do you say Maoists are not terrorists?'http://www.rediff.com/news/2006/apr/24inter1.htm

It is being said that in the Maoist conflict, nearly a third of the fighters in the Maoist stronghold areas are said to be women and about 30 percent of the Maoist's soldiers are children. In April the Maoists announced a drive to recruit 50,000 additional child soldiers. ‘Thakuma, amra dakat noy, Maobadi buthi (grandma, we are not dacoits, we are Maoists)’, a girl said in Bengali but she was Santhali.

“The news of the palace massacre made me wonder how these events will impact the big questions being discussed when I was in the Maoist areas. Two key issues on the minds of the Maoist political and military leaders were: how soon the Nepalese army would be used against them and when India would get more directly involved in the conflict. When I interviewed Comrade Prachanda, the leader of the CPN (Maoist), he told me, “Ultimately, we will have to fight with the Indian army. That is the situation. Therefore we have to take into account the Indian army. When the Indian army comes in with thousands and thousands of soldiers, it will be a very big thing. But we are not afraid of the Indian Army....." These are few words quoted from an article posted by Li Onesto and published in: http://rwor.org/a/v23/1100-99/1107/nepal_royals.htm

Maoist sword on India’s security

The emergent political scenario is one of a million mutinies? This is foreseen by Nobel Laureate V.S. Naipaul with the Maoists being a major factor and force. The dominant Indian foreign policy mandarins tend to believe, naively, that even though 170 (out of 602) districts in 17 (out of 29) states are Maoist infected, Nepal must be dealt with harshly as only three states border the Himalayan Kingdom, and, thus, the dangers of the spread of the ideology is overestimating their strength.

Maoist recruiting retired Gurkha mercenaries

The Maoists are preparing for India to invade. The Maoists say India's best infantry units consist of Gurkha mercenaries, who may not be effective if used against other Nepalis. The Maoists are reportedly recruiting retired Gurkha mercenaries to train their soldiers.

CPM supports Armed Maoist insurgency

“…India should recognise this because advocating a role for the Maoists in Nepal would reap benefits at home. Keeping the Maoists out of the frame will make Nepal ungovernable,” Yechury said to Indianexpress on April 21, 2oo6. The Maoists have been in touch with leaders of India’s so called all-party Nepal Democracy Solidarity Committee.
New Delhi, Feb. 5, 2005: India’s apprehensions over the growing influence of Nepal’s Maoists notwithstanding, the Left today made it clear that it is willing to express solidarity even with the armed rebels if they fight for restoration of democracy in their country.

Congress leaders are going red

Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Dr.Singh are going red when they described the Left parties as their “valuable allies. Sonia, PM speeches do not inspire Congressmen in Kerala.

Ballet Vs Bullet

The Naxalites totally reject India’s Constitutional democracy and its electoral processes. This leaves no ideological basis for a negotiated solution. Moreover, if we are to be taken seriously on our claims to being a ‘democracy’, it is imperative that we rule according to the nation’s Constitution and the laws of the land.

Recently ISI mark weapons were found after the arrest of naxalites in Ambikapur of Chhattisgarh. The Peoples' War Group has claimed responsibility. These are not Islamic jehadis, but Hindu militants indoctrinated by the Maoists in the cult of violence. Their links with ISI, Nepali Maoists and LTTE have been documented.

Secularism of Congress

Senior Congress leader and former Chhattisgarh chief minister Ajit Jogi on Nov 4, 2005 asked party leaders not to support the anti-Maoist movement as the Rashtriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) leaders were involved in the agitation.

“We consider those who have taken up arms due to economic reasons as brothers. We are trying to bring them into the mainstream,” Shivraj Patil said during a discussion in Rajya Sabha on internal security. The Minister’s intervention came when Prabhunath Singh (JD-U) said Patil had referred to terrorists as brothers.

Secularists see secularism as America sees ‘terrorism’ only for its interest. Congress, CPM Somnath Chatterjee said Naxalites are not criminals. Then who are criminals? Is Kanchi Shankaracharya criminal? Are police officers who are gunning naxalites and other insurgentrs, criminals?

Congress could win in Andhra because of the help of armed Naxalites. Central government is for whole India but Shivraj Patil says that every state is free to take decision separately for naxalites problem.

Separating cricket wheat from the chaff

In the ‘Cricket knowledge quiz’ Pawar defeated Mandira Bedi. Will Flour be used as snuff? Does Reservation catch Cricket? PDS scam and costly decision of wheat import defame Pawar.

Pawar in double role separates the cricket wheat from the chaff.

Beyond seven wonders more wonders are in India. Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar successfully threw his hat in the ring for the Indian cricket board election. Farooq Abdullah well described the race, "We have put our horse in the maidan (field) and now let the people choose," Pawar won the race to defeat Dalmia. He became President of BCCI. Now Cricket is a game of POWER. Can you hope in future Cricket will remain a noble game? In his eyes Dalmia is corrupt. God knows Pawar Team whose eyes are on billions dollars of BCCI, will be corrupt or not in the eyes of future BCCI Team.

India thus became the only country in the world where a politician is in charge of cricket and a buffoon in charge of the Railway Ministry. Laloo ate Cows’ fodder and Agricultural minister earned his name in Wheat PDS scam and unforgivable decision of importing wheat.

Will Flour be used as snuff?

Now rates of wheat become double. I recall a conversation when I was a Taxation Acviser. STO Mr.Sahni said that time would come when we had to use flour as snuff. After touching flour to nose we would feel fully satisfaction. Are we stepping towards that direction?

Does Reservation catch Cricket?

Can we suggest Sharad Pawar for making more interesting cricket to follow holistic view of Reservation scheme in Cricket also as suggested by HRD Minister Arjun Singh and by PM Dr. Singh to Industrialist?

Why politician and journalist in cricket

Congress wanted to give the impression that the slogan raised by Indira Gandhi, “gareebi hatao” has worked. All poor Congressmen have turned rich. Rijiv Shukla wants to keep alive that tradition. Is enter in BCCI more beneficial than envelope journalism?

Sharad Pawar who once parted ways with Sonia Gandhi on the issue of her foreign origins and has now suddenly developed interest for all Italian things.

Sadly, Pawar has not been in the pink of his health and appears past his prime. More disappointingly, even the little energies left with him are dissipated in affairs related to the Board of Control for Cricket in India and such other sublime issues. So where has he time to keep his past historical reord of sugar.

The surge is not just at the Dallal Street. The graph is heading northward at the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) too. Coffers of the BCCI are swelling at an unprecedented pace matched only by the sensex’s rise.
Over the next four years, the board would have earned an amount that is almost three times what Jet has put at stake to purchase Sahara Airlines and the revenues generated would match the worth of Rahul Bajaj - 20th richest businessman in India. “One and a half billion”, says Lalit Modi. Rupees? “Dollars,” clarifies Indian cricket’s new marketing Moghul. Converted into ruppes, that is an astronomical 7,000 crore. Modi is confident that is eminently achievable. For half of that is already in the coffers.

Costly decision of wheat import

Wheat crop of the season is more than the exectation. But it is unfortunate that because of the blindness of the Govt., in a move that virtually catapults India back to the pre-Green Revolution days, the government has decided to import three million tonnes (30 lakh tonnes) of wheat. The decision, announced by food minister Sharad Pawar

Govt. after taking huge money through back door from the traders and exporters, it allowed them to purchase the wheat direct from the producers agriculturists by giving them Rupee one to Rs.20 per quintal more rate than the dec;ared rate of Govt. as Rs. 650.

After one month of the godown full purchasing of exporters and traders, now Govt. decided to give Rs.50 per quintal as bonus to the producers. But they have already sold their wheat. What is the use of bonus to them?

No one can digest the reason which is being given by the Govt. for theimport of the wheat. It said that secured stock of wheat which was 40 lac tons on April 1, is now minus 21 lac tons. Govt. doesn’t want to explain why it issued 21 lac tons wheat of buffer stock.

Price of imported wheat is Rs.9, 978 in comprison to too much less cost of the wheat which is in the godown of Food Corporation of India. Further on March 26, 2006 Sharad Pawar has said that government is confident of achieving the wheat output target of over 73 million tonnes. He said there was no threat to the wheat crop which, in many states, would come up for harvesting from the Baisakhi day on April 14. There is no problem about wheat output. We have looked at the situation. In fact the harvesting has started in Madhya Pradesh and it would be undertaken from the middle of April in Punjab and Haryana.
In Rajya Sabha one member rightly said that 75 per cent population of India lives in the villages. In the absence of development of villages, India could not develop and achieve economic progress. Although India is an agricultural dominated country still it is importing wheat. Government should give thrust to the agricultural sector and to double its production. On one side India is trying to became a super power by the year 2020, and on the other, people engaged in agriculture activities are being neglected. Due to this very reason, the gap among the economic and social equality has been widening

PDS scam

The timesofindia’s news report of April 21, 2006 titled ‘SC upset with govt's handling of PDS scam’ says:” The Supreme Court is very upset with the way UPA government has acted on its direction to look into diversion of wheat, allotted through the Targeted Public Distribution System under APL (above poverty line) scheme, to roller flour millers, which sold it in the open market and made a huge profit,”

Without Car but named in Maruti Scandal

“I am without car and without specific qualification but I am able to be Technical director of Maruti. Yes I have connection with London, Switzerland and Italy. Who are you to know all these?”

A commission of inquiry headed by justice A C Gupta, which probed the
Maruti scandal and submitted its report in 1978, concluded: "It was a fact known to all concerned that Shrimati Sonia Gandhi was a foreign national. In view of the provisions of the Foreign Exchange Regulation Act, 1973, which came into force on January 1, 1974, she could neither hold shares of any Indian company nor hold any office of profit in such company from the date the act came into force without the prior approval of the Reserve Bank of India. Ultimately, she tendered her resignation on January 21, 1975. It is surprising that Shrimati Sonia Gandhi who did not have any technical qualification should be appointed managing director of a technical company. Quite a large sum of money was paid to her on account of her salary and perquisites during the period she remained the managing director of the company".

The Gupta commission report further recorded: “A Banerjee, income-tax officer, disallowed part of the remuneration paid to Shrimati Sonia Gandhi as excessive ‘because she had no qualifications to be able to render any technical service to the company’."

Rs 250 crore spent in chasing the Rs 64 crore

Above fact is related to Bofors scandal in which no one comes out unblemished. Result is following:

* Former minister of state Margaret Alva helped Quottrochhi to fly from India 29-30, 2003, by keeping File of CBI till August 16.

* CBI officers who were in Switzerland heard the victory of Congress. They came back keeping legs on their heads. Bofors documents have been thrown in the dust bin because Mr.Q beloved of Gandhi Family said:” 'I believe it would be in interest of justice and India's reputation if this case against me is brought to an end.'

* In Jan. 2006, India's Supreme Court directed the Indian government to take steps to maintain the status quo and ensure the frozen accounts are not unlocked. But before this on the direction of Law minister as requested by B Datta, additional solicitor general of India, the high court in London ordered to defreeze Quattrocchi's two British bank accounts. Why two London bank accounts of the Italian businessman, key accused in the Bofors pay-offs case, were defrozen at CBI's behest.

London, Switzerland & Italy focal point for Gandhis

LONDON:
Sonia Gandhi studied in London. Her one sister is residing in London. Rahul was also at London before coming in politicsc, brother of Congress MLA from Punjab, is a London-based businessman. He is Managing Director of DSSI Group. They are relatives of Natwar Singh and involved in Food for Oil scandal. News report dated April 18, 2006: ED sources said they were seeking legal opinion on the action against Aditya Khanna, who had flied to the UK, despite a Letter of Cancellation issued against his passport.

Swiss based Masefield

The company, Masefield, mentioned in the Volcker Report as having managed the transactions for Natwar Singh and the Congress, is a Zug-based (Swiss) oil-trading company controlled by protégés of Marc Rich. Marc Rich is one of Switzerland’s wealthiest residents, and is one of its largest taxpayers. He is discreetly protected by the Swiss police and security apparatus, as many journalists seeking information have found out. India should not expect any real cooperation or evidence from that Canton or Switzerland.

Marc Rich

He was sentenced to 325 years in prison but he was pardoned by Bill Clinton at the end of 2000. Marc Rich was interwoven with the White House of George Bush the Elder and later, Bill Clinton. The book author described him, "Marc Rich, the man whom the United States Justice Department privately called the most corrupt corporate executive in America". ["Metal Men", page 13.]

Switzerland seems to be the focal point for all Gandhi family corruption BOFORS, the KGB funds. Now we see Masefield AG. Can all this be a coincidence? Through this company, Natwar Singh and the Congress party bought oil from Saddam Hussein and later re-sold in the international market.

Masefield s Chief Financial Officer Hemant Thanawala, confirmed his company's business dealings with Hamdan Exports, run by Jagat Singh's friend Andleeb Singh.
Italian connection of Masefield

You may find 6 entries; all spin offs of same Masefield. We see some Italian names as owners in some companies.

We see Italian names as owners in the companies associated with Masefield AG. Welgas Holdings and Pragma Energy, formerly Masefield Coalfields, reportedly had officials or offices in India. Enel is also an Italian company. Please believe me: I have no car!

‘Shilanyas’ & fall of Berlin wall

Sonia’s Congress has still time to learn from Rajiv Gandhi. He allowed the Hindus to prepare for the construction of a new temple with the ceremonial laying of a foundation stone (shilanyas) on November 9, 1989. This day is also remembered for the fall of Berlin wall. Rajiv Gandhi tried with his best to make this historic day an ideal day for the unity of Hindu and Muslim.

Rajiv Gandhi wrote a letter to brand new Prime Minister Chandra Shekhar, to suggest that the historical and archaeological evidence on whether the Masjid had indeed replaced a Mandir, be considered as a decisive element in the Ayodhya solution. In practical terms: if experts agree that a Mandir had been destroyed to make way for the Masjid, then the government should treat the disputed site as a Hindu site. Opposite to the efforts of Rajiv Gandhi, Congress took the stand that the courts should decide (which meant that the issue had to be treated as purely an ownership dispute).

Efforts of Kanchi Sankarachaya and others could not be succeeded due to the Congress and other so called secular parties.

“Die Mauer muss weg (The wall must go)”

A popular slogan in the pro-democracy movement of Germany “Die Mauer muss weg (The wall must go)” had been among the graffiti on the western side of the wall. Now someone wrote on the Eastern side: “Die Mauer IST Weg.”

The long-time leader of East Germany, Erich Honecker, resigned on October 18, 1989 and was replaced by Egon Krenz a few days later. Honecker had predicted in January of 1989 that the wall would stand for a "hundred more years." He would be 100 years off. In India Pseudo-secularists want that wall between Hundu and muslim should be stand, so they can rule India.

Tens of thousands of East Berliners heard Schabowski's statement and flooded the checkpoints in the Wall demanding entry into West Berlin. The surprised and overwhelmed border guards made many hectic telephone calls with their superiors, but it became clear that there was no way to hold back the huge crowd of East German citizens short of dispatching the army with lethal force, as the vastly outnumbered border guards had only been equipped for regular duty. The guards and the East Berlin government were not willing to use lethal force, so in face of the escalating crowd safety issues the guards finally yielded, opening the checkpoints and allowing people through with little or no identity checks. The ecstatic East Berliners were soon greeted by West Berliners on the other side in a celebratory atmosphere. November 9 is thus considered the date the Wall fell.
Pseudo-secularists reminds every year December 6, to make distance between Hindus and Muslims.

“Divide and Rule”

We are talking too much for the unity of Indian and Pakistani Citizens. But we do against the unity of Hindu and Muslim in India. UPA especially Congress follow the policy of British ’Divide and Rule’. UPA government on April 19, 2006 to divide Hindu and Muslim for making Muslim vote bank, filed its final written submission before the Liberhan Commission accusing the BJP, RSS, Bajrang Dal and Shiv Sena of having ‘collaborated and connived’ to demolish the disputed structure at Ayodhya in a well-planned manner.

We are opening the border for Pakistani citizens. They can enter Ksashmir without Visas. But……Mr Justice Bhagwandas, the first Hindu Acting Chief Justice of Pakistan, and seven of his family members who reached Wagah on March 29, 2006 on their the way to Lucknow. But the immigration authorities did not relent and they had to return. The incident had caused concern in Pakistan, apart from causing anger in legal circles of India. In yet another shocking incident, the body of Surinder Singh Chawla, a former president of the District Akali Jatha who had died at Gurdwara Dera Sahib, Lahore, in 2004, was not allowed to enter his own country by road on the plea that he had gone to Pakistan by train and the body could be brought back through the same mode of transport.

Sonia Vs Rajiv Gandhi

I wondered to know about Italian born Catholic Sonia Gandhi and her art to fool people to say ‘my huband’ ‘my mother in law’ and so on. Opposite to this Dr. Koenraad Elst’s writings on Ayodhya issue attracts me.. He was born in Leuven, Belgium, on 7 August 1959, into a Flemish, Catholic family. During a stay at the Benares Hindu University, he discovered India’s communal problem and wrote his first book about the budding Ayodhya conflict. He wrote,” One such secularist, a modern man ready to deal with the matter pragmatically, was Rajiv Gandhi. He allowed the Hindus to prepare for the construction of a new temple with the ceremonial laying of a foundation stone (shilanyas) on November 9, 1989. He pressured the Chandra Shekhar government, which was dependent on Congress support, into organizing the scholars’ debate about the historical evidence, in the full knowledge that the temple party would win such a debate hands down. The thrust of his Ayodhya policy was to buy off Muslim acquiescence with some of the usual currency of the Congress culture: maybe nominating a few more Mians as ministers, banning a few Islam-unfriendly books (hence the Satanic Verses affair), raising the Hajj subsidy, providing cheap loans to the Shahi Imam’s constituency, donating government land for some Islamic purpose, things like that. Meanwhile, Hindus would get their temple. Muslims would have scolded their leaders for selling out, Hindus would have lambasted theirs for cheapening a noble cause with such horse-trading, but in the end, everybody would have accepted it. Whatever may be said about and against Rajiv Gandhi, he had the calibers and the cool secular distance from religious passions to see such a policy through.”

Don’t lock Hindu Muslim Unity

There was talk of a "wall in the heads" in two Germany. But during the November of 1989, almost everyone was overwhelmed by happiness - a national and emotional exception. Why could not we turn the Shilnyas of Nov. 9, 1989 in the historical unity of Hindus and Muslims? Rajiv ordered to unlocked ‘Ram lala’ for the unity of India but there are some elements who want to lock the unity efforts.

Re-election may open door for midterm poll

Oil for Food scandal, KGB, Bofors can’t hurt Sonia’s popularity in Raibareli. But there is fear that the Re-election will open the door for Mid-Term Poll.

If you read above fear then you should read following news of U.S. also:
“WASHINGTON - Jan. 25, 2006: Republican Ney says he'll seek re-election.
Corruption probe doesn't hurt lawmaker's popularity in Ohio district. Ney’s popularity has hardly dimmed in his expansive rural district, even after he was identified in disgraced lobbyist Jack Abramoff’s guilty plea as the central figure in Abramoff’s scheme to bribe members of Congress. But there are fears that the election will only bring troubles, rather than enhance political and economic stability in Morolandia.”

Whose money is wasted in the re-election process?
Taxpayer’s money gets wasted due to the ‘Tugalake Sanak’ of a lady. This unnecessary exercise is not about the people, this is not about the country, and this is not even about morality. Every one of the media including “news” channels is singing complete non-issue. Today they are heading:” Sonia files nomination in Rae Bareli”. No one dare to comment on the joke of re-election process, which is being played on the money of people.

Sonia wants to make a history in Raebareli?

Sonia Gandhi resigned to run for re-election from the same consistency that has been sculpted to ensure that it will be safe for her. Should Somnath Chatterjee and others who are in his category resign every year to show victorious on the expanse of public money? He contested the elections to the Lok Sabha in 1971 and was elected the very first time. Since then, he has served as a member in all successive Lok Sabhas. He is one of so many such types of parliamentarians.

It is a crime against democracy.

We may call this a shooting to make ad serial for showing popularity of Gandhis. This shooting will entertain to the huge crowd. It is a family picnic of Sonia, Priyanka, Rahul Gandhi and others. Kashiram said so many times that again and again elections were benefited to BSP. Mayavati becomes the friend of Sonia Gandhi now.

There should be legislation

Holding unnecessary re-election process by Election Commission is also unwanted. This should be taken back from Sonia Gandi or from Congress.. There should be a legislation to block this type of joke in democracy. Sonia Gandhi resigned to save an embarrassing disqualification, after an almost shameless attempt to promulgate an ordinance and adjourning the fundamental democratic institution of the country indefinitely, considered as taking the high moral ground?

Here Sonia went against Pt.Nehru’s thinking

The resignation drama which was played in 1951 by congress MP Mudagal was treated as the insult of parliament by the founder of Nehru-Gandhi rule. But present head of so called Nehru-Gandhi dynasty is being considered as taking the high moral ground? This is a crime in democracy and an insult of parliament. .

The parliament adjourned sine die to save a personality who otherwise faced the disqualification as faced by Jaya Bachchan. A clear recession for our country on various grounds and not one politician had the courage to come up and say “Stop this nonsense! I am more concerned about the people.

Politics on Height of Dam

Pt. Nehru, founder of Nehru-Gandhi dynasty rule in India, laid the foundation stone of Sardar Sarovar Project in 1961. Nehru's view that dams are "temples of modern India," quoted in school textbooks.

The importance of the Narmada Dam in meeting India’s water needs is well known. A false opposition is too often made between rehabilitation and dam construction. The government must stop the temptation to do the easy thing and propagate that either-or fallacy. It would hurt the country’s development. It would be politically self-destructive.

Who follows Supreme Court?

On Nov 13, 2000 Medha Patkar had criticized the Supreme Court order as one of "life imprisonment" for the 44,000 families of the Narmada Valley, who would be displaced by the multi-billion rupee dam project. Does Congress follow Supreme Court’s decision on ‘Hindutv’, Common Civil Code and Shah Bano Case?

Rehabitation Facts:

An official in the M.P.state government insisted on April 7, 2006 in Bhopal insisted that a total of 24,421 families have been affected, he said. Of them, 14,123 families were rehabilitated as per the directives of the Narmada Water Dispute Tribunal Award and the Supreme Court. Only a few did not get compensation because they chose not to take it. Land plots were provided to 4,286 families but 3,879 declined them, as they perceive the location as unsuitable. In rural rehabilitation locations, the plots allotted were 60 feet by 90 feet while the urban size was 60 feet by 40 feet,"

‘Quit India’

Walking nearly nine kilometers in New Delhi to the World Bank's offices, protestors in the leadership of Medha shouted slogans against the global project lender and demanded that it “quit India”. Actually this was drama to misguide and misuse of Mahatma Gandhi’s slogan. She is also misusing Gandhi's 'Ahinsa (non Voilence)'.

WCD of World Bank

WCD of World Bank acted like a nominated group of a few handpicked NGOs and anti-dam campaigners. The inclusion of two Commissioners from India both of whom were well known for their leanings for 'anti-dam' is somewhat surprising as any final outcome from such skewed constitution would necessarily be biased; Ms. Medha Phadkar, Commissioner chosen from India had filed a writ in Supreme Court at the time of the WCD process initiation. Not only did it choose, for its consultation, a majority of 'anti-dam' lobbyists but also it sidelined the 'pro-Dam' lobby, if one may call so.

For its own preset motives, WCD had underplayed the past contribution of Dams to Societies while overstating the costs. It can more appropriately be said that WCD is not a World Commission on Dams but a ‘World Commission on Anti-Dams’. The information supplied, with respect to the positive contribution/ impact of all the select Indian Dams like Nagarjunasagar, Bhakra etc., was chosen to be ignored which would otherwise have brought the positive contribution or picture in this regard.

Gaming in the name of “Human Rights”?

“WCD has gone yet further to bring in issues like declaration of human rights and declaration on right to development etc. though these were certainly beyond their terms of reference on 'Dams and Development'.” This is co-incident that in the name of ‘Human rights” Narendra Modi was also attacked by so called NGOs, Human Commission Activist and Bush Govt.

Water Minister Soz had argued that the decision stopping height of dam was taken in his capacity as chairman of the review committee of the Narmada Control Authority. After controversy on double profiting now comes double role. In the past Soz had oppesed ongoing census operation in J & K. “The scientific frame cannot be applicable to Jammu and Kashmir”, he said. Has he opposed on going census process in the army as decided by UPA Govt.?

In April5, 2000 Soz said in his memorandum to National Human Rights Commission, the massacre of innocent persons in Chatti Singhpora in Anantnag had been widely condemned. Though the forces claimed that these five were terrorists involved in the Chatti Singhpora massacre

'Shun coke'

After spreading sexual pollution abroad, now Amir was talking about the environment. He is planning to be ‘hero’ in politics also. Medha Patkar is leading ‘Narmada bachao Andolan’. Arundhati Roy and Amir Khan come in the picture to support her. Has Cabinet Minister Soz indirect support to her movement? Narendra Modi again comes in the lime light off politics. This time even Gujarat Congress can’t dare to oppose him. 'Shun coke': Apparently, the gas victims urged the superstar to refrain from endorsing Coke, as the soft drink had "contaminated" rivers in MP.

Arundhati Roy in DVD

On whose invitation McLibel filmmaker Franny Armstrong picked up a DV camera and a solar power pack and journeyed to the lush, valley village of Jalsindhi in Madhya Pradesh. The DVD included the 75-minute feature and a 15 minute update, shot for PBS television in the U.S. The BBC made a documentary Dam/Age centring on Roy's opposition to the dam, which came out on DVD.

Roy was born in Shillong, Meghalaya to a Keralite Syrian Christian mother and a Bengali Hindu father. She then proceeded to study architecture at the Delhi School of Architecture, where she met her first husband, the architect Gerard Da Cunha

Roy met her second husband, filmmaker Pradeep Kishen, in 1984, and moved into films under his influence. Arundhati Roy is the cousin of famous media personality Pronnoy Roy. In response to India's testing of nuclear weapons in Pokhran, Rajasthan, Roy wrote The End of Imagination, a critique of the Indian government's nuclear policies. Natwar Singh also said in China as Foreign Minister of India that Pokharan was the act of NDA, not the act of Congress.

Narrower agendas on greater public good

There’s a fight over on Narmada dam height, illegal urban construction in Delhi and Mumbai, there has already been a fight over quota extension and there may be another one; a legal challenge to what Arjun Singh proposes Mandalization in Higher Education. There is a fight between their narrower agendas and greater public good.

Bharat Nirman is its development slogan. But in three states where it’s rival is the BJP, its Narmada politics might look as if Left rhetoricians wrote it. The Left has no stake in the Narmada states. The Congress has.

On Sept 14, 2004, China has sent anti-terror troops with helicopters, patrol boats, armored cars and bomb disposal robots to defend the massive Three Gorges Dam project as part of a counter-terrorism program, official media reported. What do CPM say on this matter?

These dams are the life line for India and China both.
The government must fast-track rehabilitation work, not suspend work on the dam.

Tribute to Rajkumar

I bow my head in the honor of Late Raj Kumar when I read that before death he donated his eyes. Till the end, he was humble, pious and "Nata Saarvabhowma" (The Emperor of Acting) with simple living.

Why Rajkumar refused to act in ‘Devdass’?

There was a controversy when Govt. banned smoking in movies and when Shatrughan Sinha came in the TV advertisement of a wine company. But I wondered to read that Dr Rajkumar never smoked a cigar/cigarette or acted as drunkard in any of his movies (excepting a few in the initial days of his film career). In real life too, he was a non-smoker and non-alcoholic and maintained a very high standard of living, performing daily Yoga-Asanas. Attempts were made to wards a Kannad version of Devadas film. A producer approached the icon of Kannada cinema, superstar and cult figure, Rajkumar to play Devadas but he refused because scenes of smoking and drinking would go against his high-flying purist image in Karnataka.

I recall a poster which was affixed in my school containing the words of S.C.Bose: ”I want to see Pistol instead of cigarette in the hands of students” One more incident also zooming before my eyes: Before 45 years I was contesting for the General Secretary Post of the Students’ Union of my college. My senior P.L.Sharma, presently a public prosecutor, offered me a cigarette. When I refused then he wondered. How was it possible for a student leader not to smoke? Though few years after that I started to smoke and before 15 years stopped totally again.

Harivanshrai Bachchan, father of Big ’B’ wrote ‘Madhushala’. He belongs to ‘Jaiswal’ community, which leads the wine business in India. But Harivanshrai never touched the wine.

Tamils and Kannadigas!

I pained to know that the kidnapping of Rajkumar on July 30, 2000 was portrayed in the local media as “a war between Tamils and Kannadigas,” Why did not they come on the foreign origin issue on the same tone as saying “ a war between Italians and Indians,”

After Veerappan Now Madani

What was the role of Congress Government of Karnataka in the matter of Veerappan? Why Karnatak and TN Governments always surrendered in the past on the feet of a Sandal wood smuggler? Why there is silence on the recent unanimous Kerala Assembly resolution demanding release of the Coimbatore blast accused Madani from a Tamil Nadu jail?

Justice S.P. Bharucha who headed the three-judge bench of Supreme Court said: “The present state government should quit to make room for another which can tackle him [Veerappan]. What have you done for the last eight years? What protection have you given to the people? This was an incident waiting to happen. Now you say that you can't do anything. If you can't, then quit and make way for somebody else who can do it.”

The judge said it was “negligence” on the part of the Karnataka state government not to take steps to arrest the forest dacoit [bandit] and his colleagues, who have been accused of committing “heinous” offences. To release Veerappan's associates, he said, would be “compounding negligence upon negligence upon negligence” and “we will not be a party to this.” The ruling also blocks the Tamil Nadu state government from releasing five Tamil separatists held in the state's jails—another of Veerappan's demands.

Kannada matinee idol Rajkumar, held in captivity for over 100 days by Veerappan in the year 2000, termed as "good riddance of a cruel animal" the killing of the forest bandit. "A notorious person who held the nation to ransom over two decades has finally met his bloody end. His menace has ended. But that is not enough. It is only part elimination," Rajkumar opined.

Why Voilence and ‘Lathicharge’?

Rajkumar's death had created a void that was impossible to fill even not possible by spreading violence and making ‘lathi charge’.

Shihan Hussaini, who also describes himself as a sculptor and karate teacher, has painted 56 portraits of Jayalalitha in his blood. In southern states such incidents of devotion are not unusual, where many politicians and film stars enjoy die-hard followings. A man chopped off one of his fingers as an offering to Jayalalitha on her 55th birthday.
The Indian mind’s spontaneous tendency is that of bhakti, of worshipping ‘That’ which it feels is above him. While it is a wonderful trait which has brought innocence and a freshness to the Indian psyche, it has been taken advantage in modern times by politicians, Christian missionaries and intellectuals, Mother Teresa, Sonia Gandhi, Mulayam Sinh Yadav, Mayawati, Jayalalitha, Laloo, Dharmendra, while they may have been outstanding personalities in their own right, have all, consciously or unconsciously exploited this innocence, whereas they did not always deserved the status of Gods or semi-Gods given to them. India is a land of 33 crore gods and goddesses. No more please! Perhaps Rajkumar did not want to be worshipped.

Rule of corrupt dynasties

Some high profile members of Phulkyan, Dhar and Nehru Gandhi Dynasties and Congress are in the news of Oil for Food scandal. Kangaru of Australia thinks safety to keep head in the deseart.

It is obvious that nothing has changed in India since Indira and Rajiv inherited the PM post. French journalist and novelist, Alphonso Jean-Baptiste Karr
Said, "The more things change, the more they remain the same." This applied in the India’s present situation also.

Phulkyan, Dhar and Nehru Gandhi Dynasties

Perhaps Natwar Sigh is the present head of Phulkyan dynasty which includes Punjab CM Captain Amarinder Singh. Captain Amrinder Singh's brother-in-law Foreign minister Natwar Singh who is married to Captain Amrinder's sister. Sardar Simranjit Singh Mann's wife is sister of wife of Captain Amrinder Singh.

There is a remarkable Kashmiri connection through the likes of Vikas Dhar and Bhim Singh of Panthers' Party (which was also named in Volcker papers as a non-contractual beneficiary of oil voucher coupons).

Andaleeb launched the Hamdan Exports with schoolmate Vikas Dhar, son of Vijay Dhar, a businessman from Srinagar. Vijay is the son of DP Dhar. Vikas Dhar is grandson of D P Dhar, a close friend and Principal advisor to Indira Gandhi.

Andaleeb Sehgal, son of Delhi businessman Suman Sehgal, studied at Lawrence School, Sanawar, and St Stephen's College, Delhi. He married Suhani Kumari, daughter of Vijendra Singh of former MLA of Nalagarh. Vijendra's mother was the princess of Patiala and is the aunt of Natwar Singh's wife. Vijendra has been a Congress MLA from Nalagarh.

Vipin Khanna is an arms dealer. Vipin Khanna runs a company called TSL Defence Technologies. He is very close to Natwar Singh. When the Prime Minister of Luxembourg called on Sonia Gandhi in 1999-2000, Natwar brought Vipin Khanna to 10 Janpath.

Arvind Khanna has two brothers Aditya Khanna and Navin Khanna. They are the relatives of Natwar Singh. Aditya Khanna is a London-based businessman. He is Managing Director of DSSI Group. Jagat Singh, son of Natwar Singh is a Congress MLA from Lachmangarh in Alwar district and his cousin is Andaleeb Sehgal.

Jagat Singh began making several investments, like in the liquor business in Punjab after the so called Oil for Food deal. Jagat married Natasha, whose father was a Jordanian and mother an Indian. Natasha committed suicide in 2002. Her father was later found dead under mysterious circumstances at a Kathmandu hotel. Jagat's mother is the elder sister of Punjab Chief Minister Amrinder Singh.

Dynastic Corruption in the World

Phillips, said, “Imposition of the Bush dynasty on America poses threat to democracy itself. “

In India and America look to democracy as the best form of government because the people give the ruler the right to rule. Chinese deeply believed in something called the "Mandate of Heaven." This meant that good, wise rulers were given the responsibility to rule from heaven, and that bad, corrupt rulers were removed from power by heaven, too. CPM is the adopted son of China, so it accepts Sonia’s rule as the mandate of heaven.

Above philosophy meant that bad rulers would be removed from power, either by natural disaster or rebellion. If a rebellion succeeded then it meant that the rebels were doing the work of heaven. If they failed, well, then the ruler was right, and the rebels had a lot of explaining to do! Shard pawar, Mulam, Mayawati stand in this Que.

Systematic Corruption of the Aliyev Dynasty Dynasty currently ruling Azerbaijan and Gandhi dynsty has no difference.

Kazakhstan 'Democracy' is also Spelled 'Dynasty'. In April 2002, Kazakhstan's government finally admitted that the president, Nursultan Nazarbayev, had foreign (Swiss) holdings, explained as money sent abroad for safekeeping.

Does Sonia follow Nero’s mother?

Nero’s childhood was one of instability with uncaring parents. Nero was the last of the Julio-Claudians. Nero’s father was corrupt and evil. His mother was also a dishonest and self-serving woman. She wished to rule and wanted to ensure her son’s succession to the throne. Nero succeeded Claudius; it is generally believed that Nero's mother, Agrippina, poisoned Claudius so that her son could take over the throne.

In Ramayan, Kaikeyi due to Manthara wanted to ensure her son Bharat’s succession. But Bharat gave throne to ‘Khadau’ of Ram. Kikeyi is not regarded by us. Then why does Congress blind love with Sonia Gandi?

It seems that Sonia considers us to be fools so as not to know what her game plan is. The way they were coaxing Rahul Gandhi to accept a post as if he were a panacea to the problems plaguing our Country. The media is only giving hype and credence to this thinking. I saw a film in which tear drop of Nero was collected promptly by his female staff.

They confuse the peope to publicize that dynastic politics is the hallmark of almost all political parties. We should not compare PM post to dynasties of other levels. Inteligently to divert the main issue we forward another issue as happended in Women reservation Bil, removing of tainted Ministers etc. I recall a comment:” A local barber who boasted of his dynastic rule over the heads (and hairs) of Konhi (kerala) residents for four generations!

Does Bhism Pitamah come again?

In the Mahabharata, Bhishma, he of the fierce oath, had to promise that he would not seek his father's throne, and that his sons wouldn't either. To substantiate this vow, he had to swear that he would never marry or have children in the first place.

Families of Sardar Patel, Lal Bahadur Shastri, C.Rajgopalachari and JP never take dynastic advantage.

Going wild to eat nature

Salman is now in Jail. I remeber ‘Junun’ film, words ‘Tiger’ used one time by Sharmila Tagore for her husband Navab Pataudi & One argument: Pignent Salman’s not born Child does wrongs, not S.Khan.

He was convicted of shooting a Chinkara, also known as the Indian gazelle or black buck, while on a hunting trip in 1998, triggering angry protests by locals especially Vishnoi Samaj of Jodhpur who revere the animal.

Are their renounces not greater than the show-piece renounces of Sonia Gandhi?

Worldwide Fund for Nature's (WWF) Abraham Conservation Award or other award should be given to the Vishnoi Samj of Jodhpur, their pleader and investigating officers. Their selfless efforts should not be gone unnoticed.

Biggest waking calls

The raging scandal over the missing tigers of Sariska had also shocked the country. Where have the tigers gone?

Both are the biggest wake up calls in the country's conservation history.

“Many of the Earth's habitats, animals, plants, insects, and even micro-organisms that we know as rare may not be known at all by future generations. We have the capability, and the responsibility. We must act before it is too late." Dalai Lama

Endangered animals: Going… Going… Gone?

What are the fates of African White Rhino, Wild Asses, leopards, Gazelles, Chinese Giant Pandas, Asian Tigers, Indonesian Komodo Dragon, Malaysian Tapirsand Leatherback Turtles,, Gaur or forest buffalo of India’s Bastar, Australin bird of paradise, Japanese Ibis, national bird of the U.S. Bald Eagle, California Condor, Polar Bears, Peregrine Falcons, Alpine Ibex and Musk Oxen of Europe, Takahes & Koalas of Oceania, South American” Scarlet Macaws are famous for its ability in mimicking and imitating sounds made by the human voice as well as perform tricks, Quetzal, Vicuna, Giant Anteater and Bespectacled Bears.

Animals are endangering due to forest land used by human activities, human development such as farming and cattling, Illegal hunting and poaching for meet sport and body parts skins horns furs feathers and wool.

Illegal Trade in Wildlife and Wildlife Products

Researchers are working on synthetic and traditional alternatives for the tiger and rhino body parts used in Oriental medicines and efforts are being made to educate consumers about conservation.

The United States has, for the first time, imposed trade sanctions against another country for allowing trade in endangered species. In April 1994, the Pelly Amendment (which subjects any nation diminishing the effectiveness of an international environmental treaty to trade sanctions) was invoked against Taiwan, a major hub of illegal trafficking.

If we protect them today, the people will come to see the wild animals may help us increase our income. Even though nothing much has happened today, we hope these forests will help our children in the future.

The government should also taken steps to involve local people in the conservation efforts. Conservation laws should provide that a fixed percentage of the revenue generated can be used for the development of the local people living in and around the protected areas.

The anti-poaching units should be set up. Government should pay them for their equipment like binoculars, radio sets, camping gear such as jackets, tents, sleeping bags, raincoats, shoes and cooking sets.

Different countries have different culture.

Incidents of America: In 1991, after volcanic hearings, Metropolitan District Commission (MDC) officials opened 55,000 acres surrounding the Quabbin Reservoir in Western Massachusetts, Boston's major water source, to a nine-day deer hunt. The first day, 300 eager hunters killed 123 deer; 900 hunters killed a total of 576 by the ninth day.

Some countries enjoy Bull fighting, Fox hunting, running Camels with childeen and other cruelties.

Pseudo-secularists are giving Hinduism a communal color.
The Hindu Trinity, forms of Gods and Goddesses, the Avatars of Lord Vishnu, the Devatas, Planet and Animal Deities are all presented with their image representation.

Ganesha represents the majesty of the animal kingdom with his head and his vehicle, the mouse, shows subjugation of pestilent rats, Siva along with his vahan, bull Nandi, Sarswati with her vahan swan, monkey god Hanuman, "fish-eyed goddess" Minakshi. We find Matsyavatara (Vishnu as a fish), Kurmavatara (Vushnu as a tortoise), Varahavatar (Vishnu as a boar), Narasimhavatara (the lion-man) and Gaja-Laxmi.

The lists hanging on the fence are mainly educational and are used to inform visitors of some of the sacred areas in India (although worshippers may read through the lists to help them in their devotions to the jyotirlingas or other areas of the temple.) One list names the 12 auspicious jyotirlingas, Another list gives the reader the names of the 7 Holy mountains, 7 Holy Rivers,

Intelligent way to fool nation of 100 crores

Is Attorney-General Banerjee have given a clean chit to Navin Chawla, saying Mr.Chawla had commeted misconduct when he was a bureaucrat? Should PM Dr.Singh follow his innervoice or voice of Super PM?

Banerjee further said,” Chief Election Commissioner to recommend the removal of one of the Commissioners would arise only in the event of proven "misconduct" as Election Commissioner.” He forgot that President Kalam referred the matter of Mr. Chawla to PM instead of EC. Learned Banerjee intelligently avoided saying that at the time of appointment as EC, Mr.chawla was IAS officer in Inforamation Ministry and appointment was made by PM Dr.Singh himself. So PM has right to dismiss the appointment, which he made earlier. If God can give birth to us then he has also write to take back of our life.

“CHARGESHEETER EXAMINES CHARGESHEETER
Appointment of Chawla was cleared by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and has been approved by President A P J Abdul Kalam. This is irony that Honorable President has sent the complaint back to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who now remains non-committal on the NDA petition demanding removal of Election Commissioner Navin Chawla. PM has been forced to appoint Chawla as EC, and then what will be the fate of memorandum, every body knows.”

I have written the above truth on my news article and blog on April 1, 2006, titled:
NEXT ELECTION UNDER WORSHIPER OF FALSE GODS
/blogs/blogdisplay.aspx?cid=45953
I did not make April fool to write above article on April 1, but as usual Congress, UPA, PM and Congress President made fool to us openly shamelessly. Readers may find the facts in today’s news published in every newspaper.

I am an ordinary citizen, obtained ‘LL.B’ degree in 1967 and practiced for ten years as Taxation Adviser. I shall be pleased to receive comments on the decision of Attorney-General Milon K. Banerjee which is as following:

“Attorney-General Milon K. Banerjee is understood to have given a clean chit to Navin Chawla, saying he has not committed any "misconduct" as Election Commissioner warranting his disqualification or removal. In his opinion sent to Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Mr. Banerjee was reported to have said whatever allegations of "misconduct" pertained to the period Mr. Chawla was a bureaucrat and not during his current tenure as Election Commissioner. The constitutional provision empowering the Chief Election Commissioner to recommend the removal of one of the Commissioners would arise only in the event of proven "misconduct" as Election Commissioner. In this case, as all the allegations against Mr. Chawla pertained to his functions as a bureaucrat, the question of his disqualification did not arise,”

I did not find difference between the Banerjee Commission’s report on ‘Gadhara case” and this honorable Attorney-General Milon K. Banerjee’s report.

As I reported in my news articles in the past that Banerjee Commission said what lalu said in the parliament before the appointment of Banerjee Commission.

Now I have no ‘Lallo chappo’ to say that Attorney-General Milon K. Banerjee now said what mr.Chawla said before few days which is as following which may also find in my blog mentioned above.
“"Till the date that I was appointed as Election Commissioner on 16.05.2005, I was governed by the All India Service Conduct Rules, to which I abided in letter and spirit. Since my appointment as Election Commissioner, no political functionary or any other individual has contributed to this Trust or to The Lepra India Trust of which my wife Mrs. Rupika Chawla is Chairperson.”

Probably Attorney-General Milon K. Banerjee and Mr Chawla aceepted the truth to say that Mr.Chawla had commeted misconduct when he was a bureaucrat not after the appointment as Election Commissioner.

The above response is both irrelevant and irresponsible. The moot question is whether before his appointment as Election Commissioner, he was a private citizen or a member of the IAS. If he was a member of the IAS, then he was very much governed by the All India Services Conduct Rules and as per these rules, any collection of unauthorised money unconnected with one's official duty from any member of the public or any organisation is prohibited. But painful truth is that, right from day one of his entry into the IAS, he was exempted from all rules under the All India Services, first by Indira Gandhi, then by Sanjay Gandhi, again by Indira Gandhi and subsequently by Rajiv Gandhi and now Sonia Gandhi.

I had read law of Natural Justice when I was a student. Is above argument digestable as per law and as per commonsense? Sin is sin. ‘Who did it and when did it’ it may be said later.

Suppose Sonia Gandhi was corrupt prior to Presidentship of Congress. Does she become ‘Mother Superior’ after taking presidentship of Congress? But this is being happened.
My Dear Brothers ‘This is our India’.

What is a superior intelligent way to make fool nation of 100 crores. I have no wonder because ‘British India Company’ had made slave to us like that.

President did not want the decision on Mr.Chawla from the Election Commission. Secondly Chief Election Commissioner already made his opinion in the press conference that he would look the matter of Mr.Chawla if President desired so.
But President sent the matter to PM Dr.Singh.

As a literate citizen I feel pain when highest personalities making fool intelligently to us like that.

Why Mr. Chawla’s case is before PM Dr.Singh instead of Election Comission?
Why there is delay in taking decision on Somnath Chatterjee and others by Election Commission?

Why Election Commission became hurry to take decision promply on the matter of Jaya Bachchan? Why the same spirit absent now?

Secondly:
On whose advice President Kalam wrote a Kalam to Manmohan Singh that he should himself look the matter of Chawla? We are asking this because this type of decision is being taken one by one now. UPA Govt. took signature for announcing President Rule in Bihar, in the mid night when President was out of India. Our President is world known Sciencist but unknown about dirty politics of Congress.

If this is done because of the appointment given to Mr.Chawla by PM, then why not same basis could not be made for Parliamentarians and Loksabha Speaker?

The Prime Minister sought the AG's opinion after President A.P.J. Abdul Kalam forwarded to him a memorandum signed by 205 MPs of the National Democratic Alliance demanding the removal of Mr. Chawla. The Opposition MPs contended that trusts he and his family were associated with had received funds from Congress MPs from their local area development scheme. They urged the President to refer the matter to the Chief Election Commissioner, who under the Constitution could recommend the removal of an Election Commissioner.

Today again NDA meets President APJ Kalam in this regard.

NEXT ELECTION UNDER WORSHIPER OF FALSE GODS

NEXT ELECTION UNDER WORSHIPER OF FALSE GODS

SHOULD CHAWLA RENOUNCE EC POST?
Now that Sonia Gandhi has done “supreme sacrifice” shall all the Congress MP’s and Election Commissioner Naveen Chawla holding the Office of Profit follow madam’s example? Should not Sonia Gandhi direct all her MPs against whom there are allegations of holding office of profit to resign? Why Sonia instruct Navin Chawela and MPs of Congress not to resign? Sonia should have brought Quatorochi to justice if she any feeling towards India instead of refreezing his account and giving him a clean chit. It was depressing on TV On one hand Bharadwaj giving clean chit to him on the other hand CBI declaring that he is not traceable.

Former Attorney General Soli Sorabjee suggested that it was better for Chawla to resign.

SHOULD CHAWLA RENOUNCE MAZZINI AWARD?
The Union Information and Broadcasting Secretary, Navin B. Chawla, biographer of Mother Teresa, was presented the Mazzini Award by the Italian Ambassador in New Delhi, Antonio Armellini, in recognition of his efforts to forge a new relationship with Italy and strengthening existing bonds.

WHAT IS VESTED INTEREST OF SONIA IN CHAWLA AS EC
Is there any institution in this country Sonia has left untouched? She is the most divisive figure in the country and she is tearing this country apart. Yet, the illiterate masses couldn't find anything wrong with her. What is Sonia’s vested interest in the retention of this officer in the Commission?

EC sources say Sonia’s strategy is to ensure that Chawla heads the panel during the May 2009 general elections. While Tandon lays down office in 2006, the next in line, Gopalaswami, retires as in September 2008. So Chawla will preside over the EC for 10 months. And will supervise an election that may elect yet another Gandhi to power.

IS CHAWLA GREATER THAN FORMER PM NARSINHA RAO?
The Government has not been able to find a small piece of land for a suitable memorial to former PM Narasimha Rao. Sonia with her loyalist party leaders including A.P. Chief Minister Rajasekhara Reddy, member of Sonia;s Christian lobby, had forced to cremation of Rao's body at Hyderabad instead of Delhi. Family members however, wanted the Moti Lal Nehru Road Bungalow, in New Delhi where he had stayed, to be converted into a memorial. At the last the bungalow was allotted to EC Navin Chawla. The former PM's household goods were shifted to a house in Telegraph Lane. Jaipal Reddy later asserted that no place was available in Delhi.

POLITICS OF OPPORTUNISM AND IMMORALITY Lok Sabha will be now again re-called in May to bring consensus among the politicians of India to sacrifice idealism and value based politics for their vested interests suppressing all ethics and norms of Democracy.

BEUROCRAT GOVERNS UPA: CHAWLA, A TAINTED EC
The SC has rightly sought explanation from the Govt. about tainted appointees and Navin Chawla should be one of them.
The 12-page memorandum signed by 205 members from the Lok Sabha and the Rajya Sabha said demanding Mr Chawla's removal under various constitutional provisions

INDIA”S CONSTITUTIONAL WELL-BEING SHOULD NOT BE SACRIFICED
Given the findings of the Shah Commission, how is one to believe that Mr Chawla will hold the scales even? Shah Commission said: "A calculated effort was made to place persons in vital positions who were willing to further the interests of the centre of power in gross violation of established norms and practices." Are we now going to revisit that nightmare? Who proposed to make Mr Chawla an Election Commissioner? How committed is the promoter of this idea to democracy?

CHARGESHEETER EXAMINES CHARGESHEETER
Appointment of Chawla was cleared by Prime Minister Manmohan Singh and has been approved by President A P J Abdul Kalam. This is irony that Honorable President has sent the complaint back to the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh who now remains non-committal on the NDA petition demanding removal of Election Commissioner Navin Chawla. PM has been forced to appoint Chawla as EC, and then what will be the fate of memorandum, every body knows.

BRIBERY THROUGH MIDDLEMEN
Bofors scandal, Volker report, KGB connection all say same storey.
One Income Tax Officer gave two Rupee note to his newly appointed reader (head clerk) and said brought ten ‘pans’ immediately. Reader was unable to understand how he could bring ten ‘pans’ in Rs.2/-? Innocently he asked his boss “ Sir It is not possible in Rs2/-? Officer said that you are not able to be my reader, if you could not solve such type of problems.

What indicates Mother Teresa’s letter acknowledging receipt of a cheque No.530675 from ‘Frontline] in October 1993? The money, which was the remuneration for an article titled ‘the epitome of mercy’ written by Mr. Navin Chawla for Frontline’s Cover Story on Mother Teresa (issue dated September 24, 1993), was sent to the Missionaries of Charity on Mr. Chawla's request.

Naveen Chawla using his official influence in the Indian Administrative Service and with the full blessings of his Mother Superior, he has collected large sums of money for a non-governmental agency being run by his wife Rupika Chawla under the contrived umbrella of 'Social Work and Social Service'. Ambika Soni seems to have contributed Rs 15 lakh, Karan Singh Rs 10 lakh, A R Kidwai Rs 45 lakh and God only knows how much money other Congressmen have contributed to this great humanitarian effort without parallel in human history! Are they all preparing themselves for 2009 elections? Are they all doing strategic perspective planning?

"Till the date that I was appointed as Election Commissioner on 16.05.2005, I was governed by the All India Service Conduct Rules, to which I abided in letter and spirit. Since my appointment as Election Commissioner, no political functionary or any other individual has contributed to this Trust or to The Lepra India Trust of which my wife Mrs. Rupika Chawla is Chairperson.”

If he was a member of the IAS, then he was very much governed by the All India Services Conduct Rules and as per these rules, any collection of unauthorised money unconnected with one's official duty from any member of the public or any organisation is prohibited. But as I have stated earlier, right from day one of his entry into the IAS, he was exempted from all rules under the All India Services, first by Indira Gandhi, then by Sanjay Gandhi, again by Indira Gandhi and subsequently by Rajiv Gandhi and now Sonia Gandhi. This is said by a retired IAS officer: vsundaram@newstodaynet.com

VILLIAN OF EMERGENCY
Making a scathing attack on Chawla, he said the Election Commissioner was condemned as the "villain of Emergency" by the Shah Commission and had recommended that he should not be given any sensitive post.
Singh also took a dig at the "moralistic and progressive" Left parties and expressed hope that they will oppose injustice. TDP leader Naidu alleged the Government's motive was to "safeguard one person". "Justice should be equal to everyone.

Moral volcano or Renounce t-tsunami

Moral volcano or Renounce t-tsunami

When Sonia resigned, I recalled in my memory about dreaded decoit Phoolan Devi, who later became an MP, decided to surrender. Surrendering of Raja Bhaiyya of U,P. also zoomed in front of my eyes. Her resignation is another indication of her fool proof willing to hold on the moral volcano or renounce t-tsunami.

Soon after she announced her decision to resign as an MP and chairperson of the National Advisory Council (NAC) Thursday, hundreds of supporters thronged the Congress headquarters like flocks of sheep and herds of cattle are imbued with a different spirit. All of them are declaring: 'let our public life be Soniaised, Rahulised, and Priyankaised with a fervent patriotism for Italy and Quaottrocchi. Love for Sonia must so fill the heart that all else should appear as of little moment by its side. Let us rejoice at every opportunity of sacrifice for Sonia ‘. The scenes were witnessed nearly two years ago when Gandhi, the chairperson of the country's ruling coalition, had refused to become prime minister after leading the Congress to a decisive win in the general election.

Sonia did not take Indian citizenship for 15 years!! Escaped from India during the war and during emergency. She is here to rob, for giving her Italian boy friend Quattrochi his money back. Why Natwar Singh became scapegoat to save Sonia Gandhi? Every one including Media said KGB spy Sonia Gandhi involved in Oil for Food Program (OFP) scandal after Bofors. Did she resign for that?

Soniaji's second Renounce!
Dr. Manmohan Singh hails Sonia, calls her tallest leader!! If she was so tall a leader, why didn’t she resign immediately when Jaya Bachan was removed from her post? In fact that is Jaya Bachchan who kicked her out. His cabinet minister Mani Shankar Aiyar said on CNBC, ‘'Mrs Sonia Gandhi is a queen and she has appointed Dr Singh to do some governmental work.' Now, if this is how the Congress party is going to demolish the office of prime minister, then Dr Singh will have a problem with governance" (email dt. 28-5-04 circulated by Arindam Banerji). Manmohan is merely her CEO, a trustee of 10 Janpath. When she renounced PM post, I read an editorial, "Right Choice, Baby" (a line coined for Pepsi, and used here for Manmohan Singh).

‘Sonia: A bit of a Mahatma’- Times of India!!
In this sad and disgraceful situation, please allow me to remind Jaypraksh movement to remove Indira’s emergency. This reminder is especially for Mulayam, Lalu, Amar and a like Raj Babbar (not Babbar khalsa). Mahatma Gandhi said: 'Bad self government is better than alien good government'. Dr Manmohan Singh government has reversed this position. Today the collective motto of the UPA government is that a foreign-led secular government is better than a local /national /saffronised self-government! When Sonia wears a ‘tika’ on her forehead it becomes a symbol of truly international secularism. But when Uma Bharati wears saffron then she becomes a lurid symbol of aggressive Hindu fundamentalism!

Please find out the news clipping of Dr. Singh’s speech given in the UK Oxford University at the time of getting honorary doctorate degree. White haired leaders like Natwar, Manmohan, Arjun are licking Sonia Maino’s feet. They all feel orphaned. They are the real culprits, the criminals and the decoits. Is Congress zero without Sonia?

‘Nuen so choovay kha k billi haj ko chelli’
When Jaiprakash Narayan and Mahatma Gandhi renounced power, they did not endorse an arrangement to institutionalize themselves as the power behind the throne. Has super PM Sonia Gandhi given up power? She has not; one-step more she has opted for power and glory without the headaches of prime ministership. This is a ploy to gain political mileage to flow sympathy wave in the upcoming Assembly elections.

'Resignation for Profit'
When news went to press about the President seeking certain clarifications, Sonia heard her inner voice to renounce. Wbefore this, when she was made Congress President in 1991 after Rajiv Gandhi's death, she refused - only to come back with greater vigour. Now she is playing third latest drama of resignation renounce. To day’s ‘Financial Express’ published, “The danger is, the entire drama will cloud the issue thrown up by Wednesday’s deplorable proroguing of Parliament: whether legislators can hold offices of profit and if so, the checks and balances needed. It will also push into the background the question of whether the President Abdul Kalam consulted the government on the reference to the Election Commission in the original Jaya Bachchan office-for-profit charge and on its subsequent advice. His powers are only supposed to be used on ministerial advice. So did he or did not seek such advice? Mrs Gandhi’s resignation answers none of these far more fundamental questions”

Does Sonia believe she can fool the nation into believing that her resignation drama is not for political profiteering as in the past her government's support in the dismissal of Bihar Assembly was for political gain?

You may recall the famous Mark Antony quotation from Shakespeare's Julius Ceaser, "You all did see on the Lupercal I thrice gave him (Ceaser) a kingly crown which he did thrice refuse. Was this ambition"?

“Sonia’s exit may gate way for midterm poll”

“Sonia’s exit may gate way for midterm poll”
Election Commission has received complaints about Sonia, Somnath and 14 other parliamentarians besides 4 Jharkhand Assembly members. This process of making complaints is going on. If Election Commission will take decision on double profiteer MPs, then definitely it will be a gate way for midterm poll. ‘Sympathy wave’ and ‘Muslim Card’ will be the arm of UPA against NDA

“Sonia’s exit may leave NAC toothless”: Uncomfortable allies shook hands to present BJP as Ghost before Muslim, and to shares power-bed with Congress. Now they all will be busy to fight each other in the coming assembly election.

Pseudo-Prime Minister & Pseudo-Parliament; Instability & Insecurity; Uncomfortable allies; Criminalization of Cabinet; War of Vengeance; Acts for vendetta; Dissidence brewing up ' Constitutional Terrorism & Demography changes are the introduction of Left supported UPA. Instability and Insecurity Arose You cannot run a government on hate and vendetta, and before long, it tells on performance, as it has begun to. Hubbe Ali kam; Bughze Muawiya zyada. They are in the game not because they love Ali (read, the Congress) but because they hate Muawiya (BJP) more. Lalu also says: “Main naheen to BJP!” The point is that politics and short - term concerns have dominated the national agenda. Politicians have not been able to think beyond the next election.

Sonia’s ally CPM said; NAC chairperson post no Office of Profit and
Sonia Gandhi issued orders to her MPs not to resign from Parliament. Then why Sonia resigned? Why ugly undemocratic blackish show of Congress in Jharkhand and MP Vidhan Sabha? Why drama is being acted towards 10 Janpath by Congress. Why electronic and print media aired this Nautanki? “Congress to highlight Sonia's sacrifice” is today’s joke, not needed to be publicized.

Soon after she announced her decision to resign as an MP and chairperson of the National Advisory Council (NAC) Thursday, hundreds of supporters thronged the Congress headquarters like flocks of sheep and herds of cattle are imbued with a different spirit. Rice Follows Gandhi: Cotton Congress & Slavery

Rice was met by protests in Blackburn but Gandhi was given a cordial welcome in. Why Gandhi called to boycott British goods? Who cut Mulmal weavers’ thumbs? Did martyrs bow heads before foreigners?

American foreign Secretary Rice’s visit to the ‘centre of the world’ was the biggest by a foreign dignitary since 1931, when Mahatma Gandhi came to this former cotton town to protest against the protectionist policies of Lancashire's textile exporters.

Can we learn a lesson from the history of twin Western cotton cities Mancheter and Blackburn? Who cut the thumbs of ‘Mulmal’ weaver? Who threw Indian textile wavers to Textile Factories of European countries?

The banging of the tables, architect of which is Somnath Chatterjee, in the Parliament started and celebrated all through the universe. Glory of ‘Dhaka-ki-Malmal’ reputation; was transparent even in moonlight; with skillful hands; of hands that can be evolved only in our own Bharat Desh. Some street urchins (Malmal khas ‘muslin’. reserved for kings) exclaimed “Hey the King is Naked.

BBC reported: Like Manchester, Ludhiana has a history of free-thinkers. Where Mancunians took on the aristocracy over corn and the government over women’s and workers’ rights, Ludhiana gave birth to some of India’s best known freedom fighters, men like Bhagat Singh, who struggled to help free India from the British and won changes of the rights of prisoners by using hunger strike, and Hari Shivaram Rajguru, his friend and accomplice in freedom fighting activities. Ludhiana even boasts a songwriter to rival Morrissey. Sahir Ludhianvi is known as one of Bollywood’s most important lyricists.

Mahatma Gandhi said the seven things that will destroy us are: politics without principle; pleasure without conscience; wealth without work; knowledge without character; business without morality; science without humanity and worship without sacrifices. Each of these blunders bears examination in the present situation of India especially when we talk about the renounces of Sonia Gandhi. We have to decide which road goes towards slavery and which road goes for the sake of our independence.

Watan Walo Watan Na Bech DenaKe Dharti Yeh Gagan Na Bech DenaShaheedon Ne Jaan Di Hain Watan Ke VaasteShaheedon Ke Kafan Na Bech DenaDoston Saathiyon Hum ChaleDe Chale Apna Dil Apni JaanTaake Jeeta Rahe Apna Hindustan

Karen Hughes, Under Secretary of State for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs of US, remarked at the International Conference on Faith and Service on March 22, 2006: “Gandhi drew on the traditions of Hinduism for his inspiration in leading the nonviolent struggle for independence in India. He inspired people throughout the world, including in the United States, where the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and others campaigned for civil rights for African-Americans.”

Lancashire cotton textiles were exported around the world. The colonies of the British Empire were seen as markets for British goods. The fabrics were cheap and colorful, but threatened cotton industries in other parts of the world including India.

Road of Independence
In 1920, as part of his policy of non-cooperation with the British Government in India, Mahatma Gandhi called for a boycott of British textiles. He encouraged people to use home-spun, home-woven cloth called khadi. This was central to the struggle for independence. Gandhi visited England in August 1931 and was invited to visit Lancashire to see how India’s boycott of cotton goods had affected the lives of the mill workers. After the war, people from India andother countries of South Asia were encouraged to move to Britain and to work in the textile industry

Paintings in the Ajanta Caves in Maharastra show that a variety of patterns and colours had been developed in India by 200 BC to 500 AD. These fabrics were in demand outside South Asia and they were probably exported to Greece before Alexander the Great established the trade routes between Asia and Europe.South Asia became famous for its textiles, and fine cotton muslins were exported to the Greeks and the Romans. Muslins from Dhaka in Bangladesh were particularly prized. The Greek historian, Herodotus, wrote about Indian cotton in the 5th century BC. He described 'trees that bore wool, surpassing in beauty and in quality the wool of sheep; and the Indians wear clothing from these trees.'India continued to be the world's main producer of cotton textiles. The growing export trade extended to the rest of Europe including Britain. Embroideries of silk on white cotton from Gujarat were the first textiles to reach Britain from India, but the most popular were dyed cotton wall hangings. In Europe textiles became known by their trade names. Calico fabrics were so named because they were exported from Calicut on the Malabar coast. The fabrics were shipped to the Arabian Gulf, taken by camel to the Nile River, and then shipped to the Mediterranean.
Recent history

In the 1600s, European explorers discovered that cotton plants were also being grown and used in the Americas. These newly discovered species were introduced to Africa in the 18th century and later spread to India and Pakistan, where they replaced traditional cultivars.

By the end of the 19th century, Britain began manufacturing its own cotton textiles using raw material from American rather than India sources. India struggled to compete because its production was unmechanised and relied on a large labour force. India, instead of exporting cotton goods, became the largest importer of British cotton textiles. A virtual collapse of the European cotton industries in the second half of the 20th century led to a revival in India of both hand- and machine-woven fabrics. The growth of India's mechanised cotton industry was slow to develop, but political movements and the rise of Mahatma Ghandi empowered the people of India.

A cash crop like cotton is not grown for local use, but for trade. The international trade in commodities was established when Europe was colonizing the New World. The colonies were used to grow crops that couldn’t be grown in the cooler climates of Northern Europe.

Cotton is still traded on the world commodity markets. This can be a problem for developing countries because prices can go up and down. Fair trade campaigners argue that farmers in developing countries are exploited by these world markets and are not paid a fair price for their crop.

Gandhi sailed to England in August 1931 to attend the Second Round Table Conference. The division between Hindus and Muslims were widening at that time through Jinnah at that time. No satisfactory conclusion was reached. Gandhi however accepted the invitation issued by Mr Corder Catchpool of Greenfield Mill and took the opportunity to visit Lancashire and see for himself the effects India's boycott on cotton goods had had on the workers there.

He arrived at Spring Vale Station near Darwen shortly after eleven at night on Friday September 26th on the express from London. The crowd that awaited him was several thousand strong. By destiny or design his simple peasant image combined with his reputation as the spiritual leader of millions made him irresistable.

He was out of bed by half past six the following morning and meeting groups of unemployed cotton workers as soon as he had had his breakfast. Later he met the Mayor (Councillor W Knowles) and representatives from Greenfiled Mill and Manchester. In the afternoon he was taken to West Bradford to Heys Farm Guest House, where he was entertained by Mr and Mrs J P Davies. He left for London on Sunday night.Gandhi was received with sympathy and affection by the Lancashire cotton workers, even though they were the ones hit hardest by the boycott. It was a sympathy and affection that he returned.
