After the three women go through so much, all three of the women, Ketki, Kanti and Chandravati,decide to rebell and thus, are sentenced to a Mrityudand, or a death sentence. But, soon the story takes a wide turn and the women of the village all unite and join forces and teach all the male shovinists a lesson

* Deepa Mehta’s Fire, LESBIAN FILM
It is the first film from India that confronts the oppression of women in a unique fashion.
