The BJP on Wednesday charged the UPA government with "playing down" the increased terrorist activities in the country, particularly in Jammu and Kashmir, "due to the ongoing dialogue with Pakistan."
Referring to the killing of Itiqullah Shah, nephew of J&K Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed, BJP parliamentary party spokesman V.K. Malhotra said, "the situation is deteriorating by the day but the UPA government wants to play it down due to the ongoing talks with Pakistan."
