UPA has not given up hope, determined to run parliament without the opposition! UPA behaves with NDA as enemy.

Shamefully, Speaker of the Parliament is gathering consensus on Presidential references and separating the Judiciary encroachment, whenever Congress wants to exercise its will against the popular verdict! He writes only Atal-Advani to end boycott but doesn’t instruct to ruling party to behave as an ideal parliamentarian.

Railway Minister Laloo Prasad Yadav today suspended a railway officer for allegedly behaving rudely with four of his party MPs. Who will suspend Railway Minister Lalu for behaving rudely with the NDA? There is the undemocratic influence of ‘Dynastic rule’ on the long-cherished democratic institutions of governance in India.

UPA wants to follow the precedents:
The ruling faction responded aggressively to the opposition’s criticism during the debate. and charged that the opposition is the nation' enemy, acts as a Russian "fifth column" in Georgia.
The President of Armenia, Levon Ter Petrosian on December 28, 1994, banned nation's leading opposition party. Over 40 members of the Armenian parliament have suspended their activity in the parliament in the protest.
A parliamentary election of 2004,did not feature a single opposition candidate in Uzbekistan.
Togolese voted on 25 October 2002 to elect a new parliament, but the main opposition parties could not take part in the poll, which they had described as an "electoral farce".

AMONG the few supporters of India in the European parliament, Oliver has urged European nations to recognize India as an emerging Asian power and not focus on an “undemocratic” China and a dictatorial Pakistan’’. UPA Govt. is the follower of China and Kargil villain Musharraf. Pakistan based terrorists attacked the parliament of India. UPA is attacking parliamentarian democracy. Opposition NDA has faced the steamroller of undemocratic repression and torture in the name of secularism by the ruling parties’ benches in the parliament and out of parliament.

There is the links between corrupt bureaucrats and politicians. Leaders are teaching the people corrupt ways and means. In the past, politicians were good teachers. Sinners have seized the places of saints in politics. Seeing rise of corruption and increasingly undemocratic govt. of Indira Gandhi came back to politics in 1974 and gained a following of students, opposition politicians and the masses. Lalu was born in politics from that movement. Now he himself is on the path of Indira’s emergency.

How do you expect an undemocratic party to uphold democracy in India? Murder of democracy is nothing new to the Congress. It is an irony tha India, which boasts of being the largest democracy in the world, in the most part of its 50 plus years of Independence has been ruled by a party which has never had much respect or understanding of democracy.

Genuine political opposition is a necessary attribute of democracy, tolerance, and trust in the ability of citizens to resolve differences by peaceful means. The existence of an opposition, without which politics ceases and administration takes over, is indispensable to the functioning of parliamentary political systems.

"The people" speak through the "loyal opposition " as well as the government, through backbenchers as well as Cabinet ministers. There is simply no substitute for the "checks and balances" which are brought into play in the representative and watchdog functions performed by ordinary Members o parliament.

If parliament is to be preserved, as a living institution the opposition must fearlessly perform its functions. If the opposition is wiped out and the UPA will be able to do as they please and there will be no one to be your voice and relentlessly pursue your concerns in parliament. Are you prepared to accept mock debates and shows of UPA and Left? Or do you want an opposition that is not tied and obligated to the party in government? Your decision will make the difference.

Why do they conduct elections? They can ask President and Governors to declare who should rule the state! LJP - Congress combined and Left arties fought Bihar Assembly Election against Lalu’s RJD. Now they are ruling through Buta from backdoor. Goa, Bihar & J’khand episode stands at par with the declaration of Emergency. Now they are trying to impose President Rule in Gujarat and after that UP.

When it properly discharges them the preservation of our freedom is assured. The reading of history proves that freedom always dies when criticism ends. It upholds and maintains the rights of minorities against majorities. It must be vigilant against oppression and unjust invasions by the Cabinet of the rights of the people. It should supervise all expenditures and prevent over-expenditure by exposing to the light of public opinion wasteful expenditures or worse. It finds fault; it suggests amendments; it asks questions and elicits information; it arouses, educates and molds public opinion by voice and vote. It must scrutinize every action by the government and in doing so prevents the short cuts through democratic procedure that governments like to make.
