Black Friday & Bloody Blasts

”black Friday” film of Anurag Kashyap in the production of Mid-day Multimedia Ltd, is based on S. Hussain Zaidi's book (Penguin; 288 pages).

‘Eye for eye’ makes world blind

Now time has come when centuries old ‘Cycle of Violence’ and ‘Revenge’ should be broken to finish caste and religion based division. In India there should be two divisions: patriotism and traitorous. The movie addressing the blind peoples of both communities starts and ends with Gandhi's statements "An eye for an eye will leave the world blind".

Daud with Nuclear

After the first serial blasts in Mumbai, CIA sent a special report to the executive office about South Asian Mafia. The most damaging part of the report was that this gang [Dawood] had the ability to deal in nuclear material and possibly provide a nuke device to terrorist orgs.
History Channel that had a hour long program on Bin Laden and his affiliation with Dawood. The report and the program also said that top officials of both countries, Pakistan and India are cohorts of this evil man.

Star News aired Operation Chakravyuh, video footage of a wedding reception shot in 1990 in Dubai at Dawood Ibrahim’s household. It showed two Indian politicians Abu Asim Azmi and Akhtar Rizvi.

Similarities in 9/11 & 1993 Bom Blasts

Living in the shadow of 9/11, it's easy to forget that India suffered its own historic terrorist strike nearly nine years earlier. Between 1:28 and 3:35 p.m. on March 12, 1993, a group of terrorists and gangsters trained in Pakistani camps detonated 10 bombs across Bombay. Among the targets: the local stock exchange, crowded marketplaces, a double-decker bus, hotels, offices and the airport. The toll: 257 people killed or missing, 713 injured and a city of 14 million temporarily paralyzed with fear. The similarities to the attacks would come later in the U.S.

The book's author S Hussain Zaidi, a crime correspondent at Bombay's Mid-Day newspaper talks about how, at a top secret meeting held just before the blasts at Dawood's mansion in Dubai. With remarkable detective work, Zaidi takes us inside the nexus between anti-India Pakistani secret agents and South Asia's Muslim underworld, which later proved so useful to Osama bin Laden's al-Qaeda.

Tiger Memon played the most significant role.

Memons plan to transport the RDX from Dubai to India and how he hoodwinked the customs officials could have been straight from a Bollywood flick.

The initial plan was to seek help of terrorists from PLO or the Hamas to get Thackeray and Advani assassinated. – an idea later dropped by Memon. This evil spirit is still going on. Nationalists are still being in their hit list. Pseudo-secularists are encouraging them to appease them for keeping vote-bank in their ‘Jholis’.

Black Friday in Supreme Court

Samajwadi party MP from Maharashtra Abu Azmi has filed a petition in the Supreme Court for distortion of his image in a book and a film based on the book. His objection is that he has been depicted as a ''traitor and conspirator''....

TADA detents in Election fray

The Muslim League, with no electoral presence worth the name in Maharashtra politics, has decided to nominate ten TADA detents facing trial for alleged involvement in the March 12, 1993 serial blasts in the city, for the Mumbai Municipal Corporation elections next year.

Factory of Terrorism

What followed was a diabolic plan that included recruiting youth, arranging for training in Pakistan, identifying targets and the execution - a process that saw small time smugglers turn into international terrorists. These were petty criminals who grew up playing galli cricket and watching Bollywood films.

In Kashmir terrorists give Rs.200/- to 500/ to the children aged 10 to 15 for throwing grenades. Yesterday it is said by Jyonti Kmar Sinha of Central Border Reserve force.

As the U.S. deploys its full military might against Iraq in the face of almost unanimous hostility from the Muslim world, Zaidi's book stands as a timely reminder of how, in the hands of a few men, revenge can throw a nation into panic.

Book should be available on www.amazon.co.uk

Terrorists Codes

The telephone tapes and diary of gunned down terrorist girl Ishrat revealed these codes: Advani was 'Lala', Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi was 'Mubarak', Vishwa Hindu Parishad Secretary General Dr Pravin Togadia was 'Tinku', Shiv Sena leader Bal Thackeray was 'Kutta', Uttar Pradesh BJP president Vinay Katiyar was 'Kanta' and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Uma Bharti was 'Behenji'. Delhi was 'Maika' and Ahmedabad, 'Sasural.'They wanted to kill these leaders because they viewed them as enemies of Islam.

’Sev pak gaya kya?” (Are the apples ripe?) ”Badam bhejoon kya?” (Should I send the almonds?). This was conversation between the imam of the Haj House at Masjid in Mumbai —LeT Salauddin in Kashmir. Imam with RDX was arrested on January 13, 2006. Abu Asim Azmi even visited the house of the imam after the arrest.

Samajwadi MP Azmi under police scaning

The Home Ministry has named Azmi, Samajwadi Party MP in a report on underworld don Dawood Ibrahim's activities in Mumbai. Azmi has a criminal record having been prosecuted for cases of murder and kidnapping, but got acquitted because witnesses turned hostile. For the last few elections, the D-gang has been actively helping the Samajwadi Party.

7/11: Terror at Rush Hour

Now again after 13 years 'Terror at Rush Hour' by seven bomb blasts took place in Mumbai towards evening on July 11 - or 7/11 as it will surely be referred to from now on. This black day turned life line of about 6.1 million people in lifeless for a short while to write in red blood above 200 deaths and about 700 wounded innocents.

Leaders of the world including American President Bush saluted the tolerance, unity and bravery of Mumbaias. Mumbai stood up next day to run again on the Life-line. US could not forget up till now the shock of 9/11.

DGP Pasricha’s fingers on Thane politician

The report quoted intelligence sources as saying the politician could have instigated the blasts in retaliation for a recent strife in a minority-dominated area of Thane district. Director General of Police P S Pasricha has stated that some local politicians were under scanner of investigators probing the Mumbai blasts.

Foreing Girrl’s Email

Blogledygook's Daniel Berczik’s daughter Caitlin was in Bombay when the blasts occurred. Here is a small excerpt: I sat for an hour without moving in Myeem. Then it started to monsoon, which was the only time I got nervous. My cabbie spoke no English, and my phone stopped working as the networks became clogged with people attempting to contact one another. I was never afraid for my life, and this is why: Firstly, I wasn't on a train, I was in a taxi. Secondly, I thought back to 7/7 in London, and 9/11 in New York. I thought about what I would have done, had I been in either place at the time, and how I would have felt. And I realised that the fear I was feeling was only the fear of being in an unknown place...
